I think there is a huge opportunity working in the ex-pat community – it’s impossible (in my village anyway) to get hold of a Cypriot electrician.
However, you’ll have to accept that the wages here are somewhat limited compared to the UK – I know an English guy that is a qualified electrician and charges £2.50 per hour… |

I don't know about villages but in Larnaca (and other cities) electricians are starting to charge a lot.
Also i think that you could easily find a job in the construction sector. There are so many developers who are in need of qualified personel. |

| You may need to get approval from the EAC to be able to do anything that connects to a public electricity supply, including having knowledge of the latest rules, which have just been updated. This will probably mean the formal proof of qualifications. |

I am also moving out in the new year and taking my company with me..as far As I am aware to connect up to the services a full test & inspection will need to be carried out by official persons at the moment however because of the eu situation all brit electricians are subject to part p building regs and should be fully up on 16th edition and testing and inspection, the reason for this is so we are in-line with the eu countries so to answer the question you can work anywhere within the eu without needing to change/re-test You do have to register as soon as you are out there with the relevant government office.
p.s I will not be charging £2.50 per hour and would feel very suspicious of anyone who is? so stay well clear..!!!! |

My friend, you have a great deal to learn about Cyprus!
Good luck to your new business venture though. |

I wonder how this guy is getting on
Has he found out that Cyprus as well as other EU members dont recognise electrical from other member states?
If knows (or cares) he is giving misinformation to to people with ligitimate questions? |
