well you support the civil war against the democratically elected government of cyprus in 74... ...this in itself is speaks volumes today...

So of course the Junta didn't respect democracy and the will of the Greek people in general (not just Cypriots). This is why the leaders of the Junta were jailed for life and rightly so (on the other hand the fascists of Turkey and UK where never convicted for their crimes). Similar coups happened in Turkey and many other countries. So what? Because a coup happened our ethnicity should change? Or because a coup happened a third country has the right to invade and ethnically cleanse a 3rd of our population? Are these your lame arguments?

how about the facsists in cyprus that didn't support the will of the majority in 74, should they also rot in jail?...better claim the 5th on this one if i was you...

And by the way, I don't use the "motherland" word. Cyprus is just as Greek as any other Greek territory, there are no "mother Greek territories" and "child Greek territories".

and you don't support fascisism... ...start pulling the other , it squirts... even your above comment reaks of i am greek so therefore greece is my motherland...

repent and denounce the coup piratis...i dare you...

I never supported the coup, nor any "civil war"(?) against the democratically elected government. What I support is democracy and majority rule (always with respect to human and minority rights). (Now you can continue showing to everybody how stupid you are with your inability to comprehend even a single sentence)

I am Greek just like all my ancestors have been. No coupists, no invaders, no governments, no politicians and no foreigners can change my ethnicity. Neither anybody can buy me off by offering me incentives to change my identity. Others might be able to assimilate you and change your ethnicity with their actions, but nobody can change my ethnicity no matter who they are and what they do.

Those who are trying to give us lessons of Cypriotness are in fact people who are less Cypriot, having been at least partially assimilated by some foreign culture, many of whom can not even fluently speak the language of the people of this island, something that seems to create an inferiority complex to them which they are trying to compensate for by claiming to have some direct link to the pre-historic non Greek people of Cyprus. No my friends, the reason you are not Greek is not because you are more Cypriot with direct links to Chirokitians. The reason you are not Greek is because you have been assimilated by some foreign culture, and you became foreign to Cyprus.

here you go piratis trying answering these questions...

Those are the same lame excuses that the Turks used and have been answered over and over. In short, the Cypriot people have the right to democratically choose what to do with their own island and that includes uniting it with Greece, EU or even China. Neither foreign countries, nor any small minorities have the right to overwrite the democratically expressed will of the Cypriot people, and our democratic choices can not be an excuse for any action against us by foreigners. Regarding the Junta, they came to power with a coup and they didn't have the support of the Greek people. Several coups happened in Turkey as well, and this was not an excuse for a foreign country to invade Turkey and ethnically cleanse a 3rd of its population. These lame Turkish excuses have been answered in this forum many times.

So lets concentate in what is different in this thread: A so called "Cypriot" using the same lame excuses as the Turks do to excuse the Turkish occupation. I believe I have now proven my point that you are not Cypriot. If you want to provide more evidence to support this fact please go ahead. You will not be the first pro-Turk British we have seen in here.

Well said, Piratis.

A severe bout of short-termism seems to have afflicted the main anti-Greek contributors.

- Not satisfactory enough to be anti-Greek, they have stepped down to all-out pro-Turkish. There is a connection, of course.

where exactly have you read that i endorsed turkey invading cyprus...or i agree with the turkeish view of events...

you partitionists remind me of a fish that thinks if it hides its head the predator can't see it...

greece is greece, cyprus is cyprus and greece destroyed cyprus you morons...

BTW you sweeping statement is a bit rich coming from a half cypriot...

I am 100% Greek Cypriot, as is the majority of the population. Unlike you, I support the alliances the democratic RoC-EU makes based on the requirements of the majority of the population.

Maybe it's tough for you being antipodean to Cyprus and the EU - but you are grossly unrepresentative of the majority of Cypriots who do not want to lose their identity, their EU-alliances and simply reward the occupying Turks with what they came for.

We are EU sister states with Greece and anyone (and from another continent  ) who disrespects our enosis in this way is NOT Cypriot!

Like Australia now turning around and saying that north korea is our ally! Absurd!

And a Greek questioning our Cypriotness! Whatever next?

boomerang, I answered all those lame points many times in the forum. But since you aparently have comprehension issues, here are some copy / pastes with my answers:

1. "Regarding the Junta, they came to power with a coup and they didn't have the support of the Greek people. Several coups happened in Turkey as well, and this was not an excuse for a foreign country to invade Turkey and ethnically cleanse a 3rd of its population."

"Can you point to me even a single post I made where I supported the Junta? On the contrary what I support is democracy and majority rule (always with respect to human and minority rights)."

2. "The total population of Cyprus could not have been more than 5000-7000 people back then. In other words the island was mostly uninhabited. The Myceneans founded new cities on the island and they gradually mixed with those who came to Cyprus before and after them. Since the Greeks were the majority, their language and culture prevailed."

3. "Using your logic since the Nicosians come from Nicosia, they can not be Cypriots. Obviously your logic is flawed.

I am Limassolian, Cypriot, Greek and European. Limassol is my city, Cyprus is my island and Greek is my nation."

"I can be Limassolian and Cypriot and Greek and European, just like somebody else can be Londoner, English, British, European. Trying to force people to choose between being Cypriot or being Greek is a false dilemma which is politically motivated and promoted by those who want to isolate Cyprus from the rest of our nation so it will be easier for themselves to continue to exploit our island on our expense."

So boomerang can you please see your doctor regarding your comprehension problems? Maybe some vitamins would solve the problem. If not, I am sorry, but I can not waste more time repeating the same things over and over to you.
