Try this:

Those of us who feel that we are part of a Nation and feel proud to be part of it, do not turn our heir backs on our Nation in the event of misfortunes or even of costly and embarrassing mistakes (not to mention of the sacrifices this Nation might have gone in the past for us which is an issue of another subject and not to mention if indeed our Nation and it's goverments carry as much a blame as you attribute to them for our hardhips).

But to carry on and as I was saying, it is when our Nation is in a difficult situation that we need to stand by it even more vigorously than under normal circumstances. If all expatriate Greeks and Greek Cypriots had been acting and thinking the way you suggest, there wouldn’t be any “Greek Diaspora” left. Let me remind you of the 1.500.000 Greeks from Asia Minor who were massacred and had to abandon their birth places and properties due to the mistakes of the Greek State but have never turned their back to Hellas and the Nation. Let me also remind you of the 350.000 Greeks who were chased out of Turkey in 1955 as a result of the support of the Greek Nation and the Greek governments to the EOKA straggle in Cyprus, but never uttered a complain against either Greece or the Cypriots.

It is your pitiful privilege to chose to bury your head in the sand or under the bush of Australia or the ground of England or whatever, and pretend you are not of Greek descent, but from Mars or from Choirokoitia etc, trying, thus, to avoid the contemptuous and arrogant way in which the Anglo-Saxons have always treated you and your children and all other Greeks and Greek Cypriots and all other non English emigrants, instead of having the guts to stand up and defend what you are and what you represent. But let the rest of us, who do have these guts, to be proud for being of Hellenic descent and to keep demonstrating it, loud and clear. And stop bothering us. You are loosing your time trying to insult us.

PS1. When my cousin, who was born in Melbourne, went home one day telling her Greek Cypriot father contemptuously: “guess what! Another Greek family just moved into our neighborhood” her father put her in a plane and took her to Greece to show her what Greece is all about and make her feel proud of her heritage and able to stand fast against the Anglo-Saxon insults. But, like I said. This is what you do when you have guts and PRIDE and self esteem and self respect. Man or woman alike.

PS2. Another explanation for your stance and the obsession against Hellenism of you and the likes of you, could be that you are Akelists. It is well known that Akelists, as well as Greek Communist Party supporters (KKE) have always been Hellenophobic. And they have always stood against any national effort of Hellenism for expansion to its old territories. And I do not blame them. Hellenic culture and spirit and the aspirations of the Hellenic Nation were totally incompatible and conflicting to their aspirations and their tyrannical, dogmatic and authoritarian cosmotheory.

Hope my answer covers you.

If the nation you refer to is Greece, then no, it has never stood by us during our trying times of need and it has bought untold destruction to my nation Cyprus.

The BBF will be Greece's legacy in Cyprus!

On yer bike....

One thing's certain; that you are an idiot. A couple of years ago you were idolizing Greece. Were you an idiot then or are you an idiot now? Doesn't matter, once an idiot, always an idiot!

certaintly greece left her mark on cyprus...

when the subject of greece opening her files on cyprus comes up, according to the piratis school off thought, and these are his actual words,
Regarding the release of confidential files, neither Greece, nor Turkey, nor the UK have released their files for the events in Cyprus in 1974.http://www.cyprus-forum.com/cyprus36858-50.html

doesn't the above translates to an admission that all countries have a shame file in the form of a scheming a cyprus division?...

since even the hard core piratis admits greece ain't looking so rosy...this begs the question then, why are we still flying their flag and calling ourselves greeks?...

The coup was the result of the collaboration between the Junta and the Cypriot coupists, led by Sampson. The difference is that, while the Junta had no legitimacy to act on behalf of the Greek people, Sampson was an elected parliamentarian and the leader of the most popular party in Cyprus at the time.

Moreover, if we are going to play the blame game, we could blame the Cypriots for the Istanbul pogrom in the 50s, since the official excuse of Turkey was that the violent displacement of 200,000 Greeks was in retaliation for the EOKA uprising

I was an idiot a couple of years ago for having this false faith.

Now I have come to learn their true nature and analysed all the destruction they have caused Cyprus and the shit they do in Australia (and there is plenty).

And then you look upon all the Greek supporters on this forum, and there can't be any bigger idiots in this world, and so here we are. The fact of the matter is this. I do Greece no harm, but the other racist Greek Nationalists on this forum do plenty of harm not only to Greece but Cyprus as well, so go and cut them down because they make you look like the idiot.

Then you might be doing Greece and Cyprus a favor.

Of course you won't reply to what I wrote because you know I am correct and when you have truth on your side you leave your opponent with no leg to stand on.

Fact is, you could pick 5-6 Greek Nationalists on this forum that cause Cyprus much damage, and since you claim that Greece and Cyprus are closely knit, then by default, a good Greek will understand that they do Greece much damage as well.

Bye!
