Can anyone give me a few pointers on how expensive office space is in Cyprus, esp. Limassol. I know that this will depend on many factors, but a very rough like for like comparison with a typical UK city, such as Leeds, or Newcastle, would be very useful to me. Also, anyone got any tips on the best sources of office space.
Thanks.

BUYSELL have been in Court for the last two days - and in the previous two weeks regarding them, allegedly, acting as Estate Agents; they do not have a Licence.

Lana, I know about the BuySell case. What do you think about it? I know there is a conflict of interests here. I don't understand how a so well organized company like buysell should not have a license while some uneducated villager that will be unable to provide any kind of support has. The general public should be protected first. The interests of a a tiny group of people should come second imo. |

Hi Sotos
Yes, its all a bit strange: BUYSELL were in Court two Thursdays ago, should have been in Court last Thursday but didn't turn up (!), then this Thursday where, allegedly, they were given a hard time by the Judge for not answering questions - and I await a report of yesterday's appearance - from my spy.
But you are right, BUYSELL have transformed the Estate Agency business in Cyprus - and for the better. Their marketing is really good, their sales people OK ish. But we have licensed Estate Agents who have a 1950's mentality: put a few pictures of properties which were sold long ago - or never exsited in the window and wait for customers come in and BUY. BUYSELL are far from perfect - or from being the best - but they have brought a breath of fresh air into the property market.
Parador Properties have also been prosecuted but I see the are still open; I would imagine McAntony Realty International (an Irish company) to be next in the gunsights.
Thats leaves Hari Pavli's Superior Real Estate to be the largest licensed Estate Agent on the island.

So you think they are behind this? Are you an estate agent also? An estate egent friend of mine told me that they asked form them to contibute in order to cover the costs for the legal fight against BuySell. |

Thanks for the replies; anybody got a view on how expensive office space is in comparison to the UK? And does this depend on how dodgy the estate agent is |

Hi Sotos
I know many of the leading Estate Agents in Paphos; the Cyprus Real Estate Association approached the Prosecution Service, I believe.

There are plenty of horror stories related to the larger estate agents too! |
