Apoel v Nicosia

Postby groundhopper » Fri Feb 17, 2012 9:20 pm

Looking for information regarding this game:

Apoel v Omonia scheduled for Sunday 25 March 2012, last game of the championship. Will this game definitely take place on the date advertised or can it be moved to suit television? If so, when will the date be 100% confirmed?

Also: How long is the journey from Larnaca airport to Nicosia? Is it possible by train or better by car?

Where can I get tickets for this match?

Many thanks.

Firstly its not the last game, its the last game before the playoffs. After that what looks like APOEL, AEL, omonoia and Anorthosis will fight it out with 2 rounds against each other till May.

This game usually sells out a week before the match and season tkt holders have priority. You cna purchase the ticket online closer to the time on www.apoelfc.com.cy or go to the orange shop on Kennedy Avenue (near pop life) to buy it. Make sure you don't sit on the south stand.

Theres no train to move around Cyprus.
You can either go by car or by bus from Larnaca airport to Nicosia center and then from there with another bus or taxi, taking in consideration the time of the match, it will be better in a car, or even a taxi to drop you off and to pick you up after the match to drop you back to the airport.
The C.F.A. might be able to assist you on more official information that you might need and can assist on players list the day of the match.

Thanks everyone for the info, much appreciated.
CBBB - I am not chinese I am from the UK.
DT - I am not a scout. I just travel around checking out the fan scenes. Cyprus is new for me so just curious.

I think a bunch of French tarts have won a football tournament in Cyprus today… :?

Easy pickings for the lucky ones who’ll stroll into the pub they’ll be celebrating at!
