Rebels shoot down second Syrian jet in a month

The Syrian army said the jet was shot down with an anti-aircraft missile, which have been long demanded by foreign-backed rebels against devastating aerial raids by Syrian and, since September, Russian forces.

Rebels said the plane was downed with anti-aircraft guns. Their backers, which include Western and Sunni Muslim regional states, have been wary of delivering weapons such as anti-aircraft missiles that could fall into the hands of hardline groups.

Any confirmation the rebels now have the missile equipment would be a major escalation in their weaponry. Syria says an anti-aircraft missile was also used by rebels to shoot down a warplane in western Syria in March.

Now we know that the stories that the US has supplies MANPADS to rebels are true as, until now, the Rebels have had anti-aircraft guns since the start of the conflict but never managed to hit anything!

Or maybe they used the truce to do a bit of training to improve their skills?

Reuters and on BBC ........
Air strikes hit a hospital in a rebel-held area of Syria's Aleppo and killed at least 27 people, including three children and the city's last pediatrician, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Thursday.

The bombed al-Quds hospital was supported by international medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), which said it was destroyed after being hit by a direct air strike that killed at least three doctors.

In the hospital bombing, Bebars Mishal of the Civil Defence in Aleppo told Reuters that 40 people had been killed in a five-storey building next to the hospital.

So ...... who were the occupants of the five story building? Strange ....... SOHR never quotes rebel casualties, only ever ‘civilians’ !

More hot-Air from Kerry .........
John Kerry Draws New Red Line For Assad In Syria

The new deadline for Syrian President Bashar Assad's transition out of power: August 1, US Secretary of State John Kerry said in a news conference at the State Department on Tuesday.

In any case, Kerry insisted the US would not allow Aleppo to fall to the government. He said there would be "repercussions" if forces loyal to Assad did not abide by the new terms.

"If Assad's strategy is to somehow think he's going to just carve out Aleppo and carve out a section of the country, I got news for you and for him: This war doesn't end," Kerry said. "As long as Assad is there, the opposition is not going to stop fighting."

What happened to the idea that a legitimate government had the right to self defence against an attacking illegal terrorist organisation, especially one backed by a foreign power ..... or does that only apply to SOME countries?

Paphitis .... a bit of reality for you!
Aleppo Doctor Attacks Western Media for Bias, Censorship and Lies - By Silvia Cattori

Dr Nabil Antaki could have abandoned Aleppo to ensure his own safety. Instead he decided to remain and to serve the besieged people of his City, working with various local charities. Above all, he wanted to bear witness to the destruction caused by Western support for the foreign armed groups who have been systematically destroying Syria and terrorising its people for the last 5 years.

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/

This report you will believe it’s the BBC........ although it came from the ICH site .......

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-36214290

Take a good look at the BBC video and ask yourself ...... does the picture fit the commentary? The accusations voiced by Lyse Ducette (who very obviously was not actually there) are of course unverified and came from rebel sources. Tent frames that have been ‘bombed’ not even dislodged or a bit bent, saucepans still standing on the gas ring? Do you see any obvious rebels assisting victims, they are there but all you get from them is their battle cry ‘Alahu Akbar’? Does this really look like an air attack to you? Then ask yourself a common sense question: 'Why would Assad (or Putin) deliberately attack Syrian civilians? ' CUI BONO? :?:

These of course you won’t believe as they come from sources you are completely blind to.

A Tale Of Two Hospitals - Potentially Fabricated Bombing Incident VS Open Terrorist Targeting Of Facilities In Aleppo

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article44590.htm

Again look at the videos ...... both very graphic! Note how the SAA is there helping the victims of YOUR so called ‘moderates’ who are and have been for months/years bombing the civilians indiscriminately.

In the second video right at the beginning, the ‘moderates’ rocket attack on a hospital with gas bombs. (Yellow mustard(?) gas clearly visible)

And this of course is not what you want to hear so no doubt just propaganda by the Russians/Syrians/Hezbolah and Iran in your delusionary world

An interesting "Think piece "passed on "as is"and without responsibility for the content or endorsement thereof

http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/the-us-is-dropping-its-calls-for-assad-to-go-the-syrian-regime-is-a-better-bet-than-isis-a7050261.html

The US is dropping calls for Assad to go because the Syrian regime is a better bet than Isis:

..I suspect that the Assad-must-go campaign is going to be gently dropped – thanks to Isis, of course, which is even more hateful for the Americans than the Syrian government in Damascus.

A reasonable common sense assessment! But I don't think the US has changed their tune ..... they have just given it another name 'transition' and Kerry has added that it will be so by August 1st ......... or else!

Some of the comments are interesting as well.

Clinton: Destroy Syria for Israel

A newly-released Hilary Clinton email confirmed that the Obama administration has deliberately provoked the civil war in Syria as the “best way to help Israel.”

In an indication of her murderous and psychopathic nature, Clinton also wrote that it was the “right thing” to personally threaten Bashar Assad’s family with death.
