If you are going to quote ....... don't take quotes out of context.

Paphitis felt he had your backing and he became even more irrational with his first-person-plural views and many members picked him up on that. I was just the only one that engaged him in an exchange of views ...... and like you he never answered questions put to him or gave an explanation of his wild claims. He never managed to support his irrationality ..... so he threw his toys out of the pram and left when he didn't get what he wanted. Spoilt children do that sort of thing.

Isn't this what Paphitis was very quick to label a war crime  ..... that is when applied to Assad/Putins forces in Aleppo? I told him that the difficult bit was yet to come, when it came down to street-by-street and house-by-house fighting to avoid as many civilian casualties as possible, otherwise known as Urban Warfare.

Paphitis, you mocked Assad/Putin for the time it took them to finally take Aleppo ..... you can now see why! I don't think Assad and their allies ever made this big a mistake? BTW: Whilst reported by RT there was no suggestion it was deliberate ...... i.e. No anti-US propaganda ..... just the bare facts!

More than 200 civilians killed in suspected U.S. airstrike in Iraq

Munatha Jasim watched Iraqi civil defense workers in red suits scurry among the ruins of her neighbors’ homes Friday, extracting the dead and zipping them into blue body bags.

The massive explosion that tore through Baghdad Street last week killed nine of Jasim’s relatives, including son Firas, 7, and daughter Taiba, 4. “We recovered half his body,” she said of the 7-year-old. “The rest is still there.”

If you are reading this Paphitis (and I am sure you are!) ..... what have you got to say about war crimes now? You claimed YOU did not carpet bomb, kill civilians or reduce cities to rubble? You were wrong yet again as you always were but too stupid (arrogant) to admit it! :x

Isn't the LA Times "MSM"? Clearly, to be taken with a pinch of salt then. MSM, after all, is only for the gullible.

As far as the "UN enquiry" goes. Isn't this the same UN that was totally discredited when it falsely claimed - liars - that one of their Aleppo relief convoys had been bombed by Russian aircraft?

I don't think Paphitis is coming back to provide you with somebody to bounce your views off. Eat static. Or, enjoy your "good post" sycophantic supporters.

It was posted as a news link on BlackListedNews ..... which went back to the origin, which was the LA times. They often refer back to MSM articles. But of course as you never read that rabid right wing garbage anyway .... you would not be aware of it.

Yes it's the same UN ..... that one that is the mouthpiece for US Imperialism! Glad you have realised that their sources for the 'Convoy' story turned out to be something less than even remotely reliable, in fact a load of unsubstantiated rubbish ..... but then that would have been obvious to anyone that was reasonably intelligent.

Remember .... BellingCat, produced the report with information provided by SOHR and the White Helmets, the UN just put their name on it. That's the same BellingCat that showed how the Russians bought down MH17 ..... using computer graphics showing a BUK launcher (No command module which the BUK is pretty well useless without) that did a major road tour of Ukraine, shot down MH17 and then took the same route back to Russia?

I don't think Paphitis is coming back to provide you with somebody to bounce your views off. Eat static. Or, enjoy your "good post" sycophantic supporters.

Good .... although he was good entertainment value! I went back to page 150 on the 'Syria' thread yesterday and reading your BFF posts was areal entertainment! He was a clown!

I don't think he managed to get one of his predictions correct and all his irrational boasting about WE are going to do this .... and WE are not going to allow that ..... and his throwing around charges of war crimes against Assad and Putin are now being blown to pieces. even on the BBC, as just Western propaganda.

RT did a very good comparison between the news coverage by the MSM in Aleppo and the news coverage (or lack of) in Mosul. A real eye opener that showed just how much propaganda people like you and Paphitis swallow. RT is right .... you should 'Question more!' It now appears that the Coalition are killing hundreds and hundreds of civilians in Mosul and large swathes of the City have been flattened by coalition air strikes and they have not even reached the city centre yet, ....... they can't blame Russia or Assad for this ........ so the US is blaming the Iraq Military!!!

I told your friend Paphitis...... there would be no difference between Assad/Putin actions to liberate Eastern Aleppo and those it would be necessary for the coalition forces to use in Mosul. But even though he was a military expert like you claim to be, according to him WE would do it without civilian deaths and with no destruction! Guess what ..... that was a load of rubbish as well.

So Paphitis won't come back? He has done this several times before. 'Sycophantic supporters' ? So that's what you think of other members of the Forum who do not share your views .......... once again, if that is how you feel, do us all a favour and ........

This has not been verified but I note it does not include any part of Turkey?

Can anyone explain how the US awards itself the authority to carve up another countries sovereign territory? No reference to the UN or Syrian or Russian agreement.

Breaking: Washington Sponsored State of “Great Kurdistan” To Be Created in Syria And Iraq.

According to the documents at our disposal, the U.S. authorities and the Syrian Kurds reached an agreement past week on the boundaries of the Kurdish autonomy in the territory of Syria, which had been guaranteed to Kurds in case of capturing Raqqa and Al-Tabqah (34 miles to the West of Raqqa). This confirms the reports about the U.S. plans to divide Syria.

Is this another Balfour Treaty/Agreement, a sort of US version?

Added.17:15

Is this the same USA that accused Russia of ‘annexing’ Crimea, even though it was at the expressed will of the Crimean’s? I don’t see any suggestion of there being a referendum on the proposal ? The usual disregard for International Law by the Exceptional/Indispensable Nation, when it suits their agenda.

US Expands De Facto Syrian Invasion

The recent expansion of US military forces in Syria follows a predictable, singular agenda targeting this nation for decades – and more specifically – during the most recent and ongoing conflict which began in 2011 amid the US-engineered “Arab Spring.”

The UK Independent in its article, “US marines sent to Syria to help assault on Isis’ Raqqa stronghold,” would report that:

Hundreds of US marines have arrived in Syria armed with heavy artillery in preparation for an assault on Isis’ de-facto capital of Raqqa. However, the presence of US troops in Syria is entirely unsolicited by the Syrian government and constitutes a clear violation of Syria’s national sovereignty under international law.

So, Paphitis was right! The coalition has no respect at all for International Law if breaking them suits the US’s National Interest.

Quote: US Defense Secretary James “Mad Dog” Mattis reinforced Tillerson’s comments adding that the US plans a indefinite occupation of Iraq (and, possibly, Syria) stating that it was in America’s “national interest.”

Ending Syria’s Nightmare will Take Pressure From Below - By Mike Whitney

In his presentation, Tillerson announced that US troops would not leave Iraq after the siege of Mosul was concluded which has led many to speculate that the same policy will be used in Syria. Here’s an excerpt from an article at the WSWS that explains this point:

“US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson declared Washington’s intention to keep troops deployed more or less indefinitely in the territories now occupied by Islamic State in Iraq and Syria in remarks delivered at the beginning of a two-day meeting of the US-organized anti-ISIS coalition in Washington.

“The military power of the coalition will remain where this fraudulent caliphate has existed in order to set the conditions for a full recovery from the tyranny of ISIS,” he told an audience that included Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. He gave no indication of when, if ever, US troops could be withdrawn from a war zone extending across Iraq and Syria, where there has been fighting of greater or lesser intensity throughout the 14 years since the US first invaded Iraq.” (Tillerson pledges long-term US military role in Iraq and Syria, World Socialist web Site)

US Defense Secretary James “Mad Dog” Mattis reinforced Tillerson’s comments adding that the US plans a indefinite occupation of Iraq (and, possibly, Syria) stating that it was in America’s “national interest.”

“I believe it’s in our national interest that we keep Iraqi security forces in a position to keep our mutual enemies on their back foot,” he said, as quoted by the Military Times. The US “needs to remain decisively engaged in Iraq and in the region.”

In response to Mattis’s comments, Syrian President Bashar al Assad said:

“Any military operation in Syria without the approval of the Syrian government is illegal, and any troops on the Syrian soil, is an invasion, whether to liberate Raqqa or any other place. …The (US-led) coalition has never been serious about fighting ISIS or the terrorists.”

Assad is right of course ..... unless you are dealing with the exceptional Nation and the application of International Law does not suit THEIR interests!

Re: The war against Syria

The US and the UK and once again, without evidence have accused Assad of using chemical weapons. The US representative on the UNSC, Nikki Haley, has just all but declared war on (presumably) Assad and Russia. The statement was:

"When the UN consistently fails in its duty to act collectively, there are times in the life of states that we are compelled to take our own action," Haley said, adding that if the UN doesn't take action, "we may."

Scores reported killed in gas attack on Syrian rebel area

BEIRUT A suspected Syrian government chemical attack killed scores of people, including children, in the northwestern province of Idlib on Tuesday, a monitoring group, medics and rescue workers in the rebel-held area said.

The U.S. government believes the chemical agent sarin was used in the attack, a U.S. government source said, adding it was "almost certainly" carried out by forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-mideast-crisis-syria-idlib-idUSKBN1760IB

The Russians have suggested that a Syrian air raid hit a massive terrorist weapons storage facility, which could well have stored chemical weapons. The Russians are putting the evidence together on both their and Assad’s aircraft movements. To me the Russian explanation has more credibility. Again it comes down to common sense questions not being answered!

• The only source of this information and the accusations are from the White Helmets and SOHR, both of which are terrorist affiliated.
• Assad doesn’t have these chemical weapon’s, he has been fully monitored by various organisations since 2013.
• Assad is winning his war ...... why would he use chemical weapons? It does not make sense.
• Even if he wanted to use chemical weapons, why use them on civilians? It does not make sense.
• These sort of chemical weapons were found in Eastern Aleppo, a lady reporter for RT Lizzie Phelan, went round the captured terrorist facilities following the SAA and filmed all the chemicals which were clearly labelled.

Once again the only source for information on this incident is from the White Helmets and the Syrian observatory of Human Rights. These are the same sources that spread the false news stories about Aleppo. After Aleppo had been liberated from the terrorists the truth started coming out but it was rather played down or ignored in the MSM.

Strange that when the US coalition accidentally killed over 220 in Mosul last week, they immediately suggested it was because they struck an ammunition dump/truck ...... so why not start the investigation of this incident on the same premise? That makes sense to me ?

This is more fake news? The problem is that this time it could easily escalate into a confrontation between the US (even the UK?) and Russia/Syria ............. and all without evidence!

Something is Not Adding Up In Idlib Chemical Weapons Attack

Merely hours after the alleged chemical weapons attack in Khan Sheikhun, supposedly by the Syrian government, holes are beginning to emerge from opposition sources, discrediting the Al-Qaeda affiliated White Helmets claims.

For one, seen in the above picture, the White Helmets are handling the corpses of people without sufficient safety gear, most particularly with the masks mostly used, as well as no gloves. Although this may seem insignificant, understanding the nature of Sarin gas that the opposition claim was used, only opens questions.

But you felt the need to answer!

'He' would have been over the moon at these silly accusations, just like he fell for the stories that came out of occupied Eastern Aleppo from the same sources. Later virtually everything turned out to be untrue. From Ghouta to the UN convoy and it will be proven to be in this latest incident.

You condemn RT/Sputnik for propaganda but not once after the US air strike that killed 220 people in Mosul did they suggest that it was a planned attack by the coalition on civilians. They saw it for what it was ..... a terrible accident/miscalculation, whereas the Western Media relating to this incident, especially the BBC, considered no scenario other than Assad deliberately gassing his own people. Although this morning the rhetoric has been dumbed down and rather than 'Assads gas bombs' they are referring to the gas being 'released' during a Syrian air raid on 'rebel' facilities.

This sort of immediate condemnation without waiting for any tangible information from independent sources is IMO very dangerous. The TV this morning showed Trump more or less saying that the US is going to deal with Assad and his heinous regime. Surely first you build up the evidence for the Prosecution case, and the Defence do likewise. Then the UN should condemn the act and put the perpetrators on trial ? You just don't do what 'He' always advocated ........ 'off-with-his-head' we don't need proof ............ we know.
