So a political message to Cameron, huh.

I thought he looked pissed off when the cameras caught him leafing through the schedule instead of paying attention. :)

Overall, not as tacky as I thought they would be, but very standard and 3rd world-ish in pomposity. From singing "Jerusalem" to "Abide with me" and every little carefully selected little bit of history in between ...

Mary Poppins ...

How is it that the Brits don’t have a history yet they’ve existed for millenniums?

What kind of stupidities are some of you manufacturing in your heads? :?

Who said they don't have a history? (Magna Carta, Shakespeare, Cromwell, the British Empire, Abolition of Slavery, Churchill etc)

Only they gave more time to Harry Potter, Mary Poppins and Mr. Bean. If you've got a culture and a history then don't be embarrassed about it. Celebrate it.

Watching that incoherent mess of an Opening Ceremony you'd think they were ashamed of their history ... Don't you agree, GR?
