Hi, I'm a digital artist and looking for photos from your archives which represent old Cyprus - indoor/outdoor/landscapes and street scenes with people, people at work e.t.c.
I'm going to make video installation recreating 3D space from these photos. I need 300 dpi or better scans, 1920 - 1980 years with comments (place, date, event). Please PM me if you are ready to share.

Hi Changa... Welcome to CF.

Problem, we had '000s of such photos but a year or so ago our image hosting changed and they've gooooooone!

Best bet is a few CY FB Pages. Will post a few links for you tonight.

The problem is that old photos need to be scanned to be digitized and that is quite a bit of work! Not many people like to work for nothing. Maybe you should offer some incentives

You can't imagine how much work is to compose those 6 seconds video! Old time and people are gone, the only thing we can do is to recall them.
