No not correct..

Cyprus need its own visa as it is not in the Schengen yet...

Trust me no need to ask anymore ...good news is Cyprus board control is so weak, simple and cheap... all you need to do is go to the embassy 2 weeks before your flight time with travel insurance , 2 way flight confirmation, bank statment that proves you have enough funds to travel , hotelk confermation and around 30 to 60 euros for fees...

If you dont look dodgy or one of them ppl who wanna go to Cyprus and stay illegally you will get it straight away i beieve in 3 days but it takes up to 2 weeks some times..

Good luck and when you come here and im sure you can have fun although i wouldnt advice investing your money here.. go to a Swiss banks mate they are safe...

Hello
There are a few things to talk about here.
1.It is not a matter of if a Cypriot visa can be obtained easily. The question is if I need it at all.
I live in a small place in Finland and to go to Helsinki is very expensive, then have to pay for the visa fees etc, photos etc and other things.
Secondly, they don't pick up the phones and do not respond to my emails. I am 100% sure that if I go there without an appointment, the only person I will get to see is the security guard on the outside steal door. We all know that security guards do not issue visa. So, I realize anyone who does not require a visa to go to Cyprus, is extremely lucky because they don't have to go through this bureaucratic nonsense.
2. Secondly, I am sure that the Cypriot Government offers an insurance protection upto 100,000 Euro, so I see no risk as my investment is in the range of €45000. I intend to break it into two banks,ie Privat Bank and in Bank of Cyprus.
3. I am getting free accommodation in Marriot for 3 nights in Paphos, courtesy of a property viewing trip and accommodation is complementary, so I thought it was a win win situation until this visa thing came up. The travel agents say I don't need a visa. Question is, should I take their word?
4.I have a Pakistani passport and unfortunately, it does not help my case at all because in most countries, this passport is seen with suspicion.
5. Another option that I chose was to invest in Georgia, where the same thing is that they don't respond at all.
6. So, now, I am sitting tight on my money. It has been warming my ass during the entire horrible winter of Finland and might toast it during the summer but do I have a choice?
7. If anyone knows about Government bonds in Cyprus or in other Eurozone country, please let me know.

Regards
Khan
