we had a good summer this year...usually we spend a lot of time at moggs creek on great ocean road but this year due to work commitments not so much...

the last time i did europe was in '79, hitchhiked for 3 months...been to cyprus in '95 and '96 just for 3 days at a time...what can i say i love moggs creek and darwin...especially fishing darwin bay...it's always an experience... :lol:

79 ..thats a while ago ...not planning on another trip back?
....i usually camp up Great ocean road ( Wye river) ....iv driven a few times up to Qld .....went to W.A a few years back ...they get fantastic weather ! ....but tassie is one of the most peacefull places i have travelled too ....pitty about the weather ....well i came to Australia '75'....went to Cyprus '82" ...then did Europe in '96' ...Cyprus '2010'.....and hoping all goes well Europe 2013 ....but like everyone says there is still heaps to see in our own backyard ...

They're right about not expecting much from Italy in comparison to some other European destinations. Greece is the most diverse of all the European countries in terms of huge mountains, spectacular rock formations, culture, beaches etc etc etc

Skip the rest. Just head for Cyprus and the rest of Greece. :D

yes must visit greece...i hear many ongoing specials, 3 greeks for a buck in most supermarkets... :lol:

That is on the cards ..but just Athens ..pirues ..then hitting the greek islands ... well as we know the Greek economy is in deep shit ....so you might be able to get 5 greeks for $1 ...hopefully they can themselves out of this hole ....

try the markets downtown athens, at the close of business smack on 5pm they are flogging them for 10 to the buck with a free mad cow...all with bona fide kochans... :lol:

You wernt wrong the highlight was the Greek islands & Cyprus ..not only the beauty of them ..but the people.

Are you sure about Cyprus?

Greece is beautiful but Cyprus? Are you joking? :lol:

I only like Cyprus in the winter I have come realize and hope to have Christmas in Cyprus this year. this is the best season for Cyprus in my opinion.
