This is Cyprus, not Cypress Wink If you don't care much about beach I think a village on the mountain like Platres, Agros, Kakopetria etc might be the best place for you.

ok thanks for that we did like the idea of a mountain village but would there be enough choice of tavern's, bars, cafes ect.,
I'll do a little research on the places you mention,
thank you.

The places with the most taverns/cafes/bars etc are the most noisy ones. So you will have to make a compromise if you want something more quiet Wink Villages like Platres have cafes/bars/taverns but not as many as places like Paphos, Limassol, Protaras, Ayia Napa etc.

yes and no. Smile

I was thinking of something like that http://www.agrotourism.com.cy/index.htm

There are locations all over the island.

Re. staying in the mountains or actually any remote rural village you will not have a choice of taverns and bars as you requested. If you want anything close to what one would normally call "night life" you will need to go closer to the cities.

Here for example: http://www.cyprusapts.com/

Its in a village that has been a bit touristically developed over the years. Has a good variety of taverns and also 2 pubs. Some Ex-pats living there as well.

Western Cyprus I beleive has more in the way of culture, world heritage sites, places of interest and the Troodos Mountains are a short drive away.

Paphos in particular has a mix of family orientated bars /restaurants as well as local traditional tavernas if you are willing to drive or take a taxi.

Please browse the link below for further information about Cyprus and the Paphos region in general.

Happy Holidays

Very Happy

Liakada, are you by any chance trying to promote Paphos and your business? Wink
