This'll be fun, turkey does not want to talk to us, guess we can skip this action then? The EU is a disgrace to allow turkey to get away with it. We should call the meeting, give them 10 mins after he set time, then cancel it, putting it down to a no show. Now that will be a laugh, a PC BUBBLE.

On Wednesday July 4, 2012, at the European Parliament’s plenary session in Strasbourg, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Demetris Christofias will present the Cyprus Presidency programme. At the plenary session the MEPs will have the opportunity to ask the President questions about the Presidency.

Quite right B25, Turkey ain't in the EU but it will receive ONE BILLION EUROS of Convergence Funding in 2013, whilst still maintaining an illegal occupation of an EU member-state, which will bring the total of gift-aid to Turkey over the accession period to some FIVE BILLION EUROS!!!! Massive sums for hard-pressed European Tax-payers to find in these troubled times.

Back to the Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council...

Earlier today, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Dimitris Christofias from Occupied Trikomo, opened the exhibition "Mapping Cyprus 1191- 2012 Crusaders - Traders and Explorers" at the Musee des Beaux-Arts in Brussels.

The President of the CYs was accompanied by loads of dignitaries from Europe including President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism, Youth and Sport, Androulla Vassiliou, European Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Maria Damanaki and Vice Prime Minister of Belgium, Laurette Onkelinx.

A reminder that President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy speaks classical Greek.
