Take the "Octane" browser test at...

http://octane-benchmark.googlecode.com/ ... index.html

My results using the latest versions of all the browsers below...

Maxthon: Octane Score: 5441

Sleipnir: Octane Score: 5372

Chrome: Octane Score: 5243

Firefox: Octane Score: 4167

Opera: Octane Score: 2365

Safari: Octane Score: 1413

Avant: Octane Score: 0 (test wouldn't start!)

Maxthon kicks arse once again!

Bloody hell what a nuisance it was!

Since spelling is not a strong point I quite like it, except that it Americanises everything.

I am using Chrome a bit these days because of the translation feature. Not that the translations are very good....

Maxthon's translation tool works fine... it's that weird "a-->f" icon in the top right.

yes but you either get it in Chinese or they use Google!!
I find Chrome is a just a bit more slick with the translations - otherwise I think Maxthon is a lot better -
