Am I any less Greek for learning Turkish?

Knowledge is power...

I am adding to my knowledge base, not taking anything away...

Yet some seem to think I am compromising my Greekness...

Well, are you?

"Knowledge is power", you say. How so? Is all knowledge power-giving? What's the difference between 'learning' and 'knowledge'? The more I learn, the less I know, the weaker I feel.

(sniff, sniiff, sniiiffff ...)

The Quran established individual character as the criteria of success... This simplified description represents a doorway to learning, not the art... having read this am I any less Greek?... am I any more Muslim?... I am just writing... Middle way between identity and difference, existence and non-existence, truth and falsity, eternity and non-eternity...

It is not what you know. It is how you use your knowledge. Are you learning Turkish to help Cyprus understand the enemy better and help the fight for liberation ... or are you learning Turkish to partner with enemy ignoring that your country is illegally occupied by them? Or maybe you have no use for the Turkish you are learning in which case you are wasting your time and our ;)

You should pose your question on Balkan forums where all the lost gypsy tribes can participate!

People learn a foreign language because they have an affinity with a country; or for business purposes; because they want to emigrate; or because they are a member of Special Ops and they need to infiltrate an enemy. If none of the above applies to you and if you are Greek or Greek Cypriot and you learn the Mongol language, then you are trash. You are no better than the filth who collaborate with any occupying force.
