Cyprus - Ireland tomorrow (today already!) at 7pm. About 10,000 Irish funs will be at GSP and the Cypriots will be much less It would be like our team is playing away! RIK will show the game live. The game between the Under 21 teams was today with result 1-1.
Greece will play Denmark. This is a very critical game for Greece. If they win they will have a lot of chances to qualify! |

I've heard 18000 tix have been sold to irish supporters. That leaves only 7000 for the Cypriots as GSP takes only 25k if I'm not mistaken...
I'm sure everyone has a great time! |

Firstly, the match looked like an Irish home game...especially on the television.
Secondly, Cyprus pissed over Ireland but typically let in a silly goal and missed a penalty. I couldnt belive some of the football Cypus was playing...I was actually quite impressed with them for once. |

Cyprus was really good in the first half. We missed 4-5 classic chances for goal including a missed penalty The first half of Ireland - Cyprus was the best performance by Cyprus I've seen so far. Ireland is a nice friendly country so I am not upset that we lost. We wouldn't be able to qualify anyways. Ireland needed those 3 points more than us. I am satisfied from the performance of our players.
Greece lost also 1-0 This means Greece willnot be in the world cup in Germany. World cup would be so much more interesting for us if Greece was there. Anyways ... |

Lets see if we will manage to play as well with France in a couple of days. Maybe we can win them? |

So much was the Irish dismay form last Saturday’s match with Cyprus that they turned it into poetry. Read this one from an Irish website!
A Pete Goulding Poem
Robbie Keane’s stretch, and Elliott’s swivel,
Followed by eighty five minutes of drivel.
And but for some quite inspirational keeping,
The country would be uncontrollably weeping.
The magnificent Cypriots, hardly world-beaters,
Were very unfortunate not to defeat us.
They tore us wide open and carved out great chances,
And led our defenders some merry old dances,
While we were unable to find any rhythm
And didn’t seem able to trade tackles with ‘em.
Our midfield was guileless and showed no invention,
And seemed to be focussed on damage prevention.
So many times we conceded possession,
We started suspecting divine intercession.
Tactically weak, we seemed badly outnumbered,
Letting the Cypriots break unencumbered.
But Fortune smiled on us, and flattered us greatly,
Which, to be frank, hasn’t happened much lately.
And though we were still outmanouevred concisely,
Same again Wednesday will do very nicely.

Okkas and Crysis Michael will not play in the game with France. The first one has 2 yellow cards and the second one is injured. This makes our chances even less |
