Job advice

Postby HelloThere2012 » Fri Oct 12, 2012 4:23 pm

Hello all,

I've been pondering this now for some time, but have not yet reached a viable solution. I am 20 years old, graduated from a private school with an A and have boast-worthy command of the English language (round of applause, if you please) and speak Russian too. I attempted to contact a few companies and applying for a Customer Service position since I believe that I will manage well enough, but have received no response. Considering all of the above, I simply ask for your opinions on what sort of field I should concentrate my efforts (anything bar/restaurant-related is a last resort and will be considered if the unemployment rate plunged further to unheard-of depths). Would applying for a job with an English newspaper be feasible? Let's hear it all.

Thanks in advance.

I am 20 years old, graduated from a private school with an A (in what?) and have boast-worthy (?) command of the English language (this isn't very good english) (round of applause, if you please) (inappropriate and irritating request) and speak Russian too. I attempted to contact a few companies and applying (inconsistent use of tenses) for a Customer Service position since I believe that I will (future conditional tense needed here, ie. 'would' rather than 'will') manage well enough, but have received no response (sentence probably unnecessarily long). Considering all of the above, I simply ask for your opinions on what sort of field I should concentrate my efforts (anything bar/restaurant-related is a last resort and will be considered if the unemployment rate plunged (incorrect use of past tense; present tense needed) further to unheard-of depths). Would applying for a job with an English newspaper be feasible? (no) Let's hear it all.

Thanks in advance.

ZoC then again he is only 20 years old. How old are you if I may ask?

He may only be 20, but the errors ZoC pointed out are the things you learn at school, not with age.

I agree with Zonk. We need to keep foreigners out of this country. :)

you may not, as neither his age nor mine are relevant.
