Well spotted. That looks just the job then. The single fare will be one euro per person.

Yes, CY bus fares are excellent value... if only you boys had govs that would take on the flipping rip-off tazigees and encourage regular and frequent, day and night public transport esp from the airports direct to the main towns.

If one is thinking of travelling about a lot it could be worth considering hiring a car......e

PS if you are a smoker watch out for fake fags and dodgy baccy - there are many reports that some of the "Golden Virginia" and other baccy products sold in Pafos , in particular in the tourist areas near the harbour is fake, containing poor quality tobacco. not that it worries me being a non-smoker but it does not do the reputation of Cyprus any good as a tourist destination if the tourist are ripped off by the first Cypriot they may meet outside the airport and elsewhere... Still it happens elsewhere too.

Either way, it's not that expensive and if they don't use the meter it's probably cheaper and they are more amenable to bartering. :)

Have you thought of hiring a small car? They would be very cheap in January.

What? :? For example, a few months ago my friend's high heels were killing her on the walk back to our hotel and we hailed a taxi. He said he was finished for the night and about to go home but would drop us off as it wasn't far. When we got to the hotel he told us to pay whatever we wanted. :D

Merry Christmas, Grump. :D

That is the answer then...

Get a taxi from the airport, tell him not to bother with the meter and have five Euros ready to pay him when you get to Pafos - but wear high heels! :D
