Fear, total fear, was introduced to us in the summer of 1958, when TC mobs attacked our neighborhood repeatedly. The address is Alexandrou street, where Antonakis bar still stands today, three blocks from Lokmaci. For no reason, no provocation, repeatedly that summer. There was no motive for attacking unarmed civilians in the center of a city other than racism.

TC racism surfaced again in February 1964 with the ouster of Armenians by TMT in Nicosia. Racism still evident now when the TC side makes NO reference to any other minority in Cyprus except themselves, when they nationalise property for no reason other than it belongs to non TCs, accept employment and social welfare in the RoC but refuse to let a GC to even have a kiosk in the trunc.

Lordo ignore these People.....today or tomorrow we will have this water.....all the works in the land goes smoothly.....most of the land water tanks are completed....Land lay pipe work goes on ....at the moment they are digging up and laying down the pipes between Nicosia - Hamitmandrez motorway....There are difficulties in traffic ğn these roads....we are used to. New motorway construction goes on between Famagusta towards to Kyrenia -Nicosia motorway....

back to the problem of friction. no matter how much the pressure is reduced by friction forces the dam has a total water head of 163 meters from sea level coupled with 1.5 meter pipes they are using you will find water will go though it like butter. this is the reason why there is no need to pump from the terggish side. in fact they are using the water to generate electricity in anamur.

... but friction is only one of the elements, another terribly important one is the weight of the water in the alleged 80km pipeline. Water that has to be moved.

So, a little simple calculation to work out the weight of the water in the alleged umbilical cord...

80kms = 80,000 metres.

The alleged pipe has a diameter of 1.5 metres, so every metre of pipe would contain a volume of 1.77 m3 which is...

Oh... that was simple.... 1.77 tonnes of water for every metre of pipe.

1.77 times the 80,000 metre length = 141,000 tonnes.

Anyone now like to hazard a guess as to how easy it is to get 141,000 tonnes of water to shift ...???

Well, they have had to build many pumping stations to transport all this water in 4m diameter pipes. I think you will find it was a pretty big problem and they have spent BILLIONS on the project.

in any case it has taken about 25 years from its inception to be cruelly made a political tool by "Turks". Given that it is their project of the century, at this rate we can assume it will take about 75 years to complete.
