Looking for a work placement

Postby Alexis Bauer » Wed Feb 06, 2013 2:27 pm

Hi :) !

I am a first-year student preparing a BTEC HND in international trade in Saint-Pol de Léon in France. For my diploma, I am required to find a work placement in a foreign company. I am following a post-baccalaureate two-year course, and I would like to put into practice the various subjects I am studying: international trade, languages, communication techniques, word processing, office practice, economics, law... So, I'm looking for an eight-week work placement from May to the end of June or more if needed. The work assignment could include office tasks, prospecting, updating data files and also customer follow up.

Cyprus is a country which i have already visited and liked 3 years ago, it's the reason why i would like to do this work placement there. I have already sent lot of e-mails to Cypriot companies, and even contacted the town centers of Limassol, Nicosia, and Paphos.

I would be very grateful if somebody would agree to help me to find a firm which would be able to take me as a trainee.

I am highly motivated, very responsible and committed to my work and I have also good communications skills. This work experience is really an opportunity for me to gain knowledge in languages and international business and also maturity to live in other country during few mounth. Of course, I will do my utmost to make a positive contribution to this companie

Should you wish to have any further details about the placement terms, or something, do not hesitate to contact me.

I thank you for considering my first topic :) !

Yours faithfully

There are already 47,000 people here looking for a work placement, so you may find it difficult.

Thank you for your answer.

I know it will be hard to find a work placement, but i'm trying all I can do, to spend it in Cyprus, it is the reason why I'm researching in this forum, maybe somebody works in a firm, or knows someone who works in a firm which could take me as a trainee.

He is looking for an internship, not a job.
