The Euro belongs to Cyprus too.

Pawns are meant to be sacrificed to keep the game going.

According to some voices here, you don't play well together :)

We are all on the same boat (Eurozone), i.e., we are part of the system, either they like it or not. 8)

Economically, Cyprus is of no significance to the eurozone. It's the precedent that is the most dangerous. If Cyprus leaves the eurozone (or tax deposits) that creates a whole new ball game.

Why leave the eurozone? :? The eurogroup is still ready to loan us 10B euro, and that's a fact.

OK, but they are mostly theoretical. I often read about highly qualified Spanish engineers and so on, that aren't left a tiny chance in the job market here. Mostly a language issue, probably, but where should the Cypriots go? To Greece with its 20% unemployment? To UK?

To the UK! 8) I will work for GIG. :D

Capital controls to be implemented in Cyprus - DJ

Dow Jones newswires is reporting the bank reform legislation which is being submitted to the Cypriot parliament tonight will impost capital controls on its banking sector.

That will restricted the amount of money that can be taken out of a bank (when they reopen).

Quite a moment for the single currency.

More and more speculation that Laiki is in deep trouble, and cashpoint withdrawals from it restricted to 260 Euros per person daily.
