hi!i suppose it depends on your qualifications....bc the winter is coming i would suggest you look for a more permanent job in nicosia as it has a more stable job market(its not touristically developed so the seasonal jobs are less)

Hi jessica

What Ivan says is incorrect; since Cyprus joined the EU in 2004, it has been required to give preference to employing EU Nationals rather than non-EU Nationals. There are many thousands of Filipino and Sri Lancans who have been working here for many years who's Work Permits are not being renewed. I have several friends in this position and it is causing them great distress, which is very sad.

It is unlikely you will be granted a Work Permit.

Ivan, I run a business in Cyprus, employing people, I am very familiar with Employment law.

Dear Ivan

I suggest that Jessica contacts the Cypriot Embassy in her own country or the Filipino Embasy in Cyprus. They will confirm what I said.

Tell me Ivan, if Jessica spends her life savings travelling to Cyprus and then finds she cannot get a job who will help her then, you?

If you wish to offer advice on such important matters affecting other people's lives, please be sure you are correct.
