...@ Cap, Cypriots are just as friendly, and unless they are other than friendly, whether Greek, Turkish, Filipino, Bicommunal too.

...imagine two hundred years from now, if the Problem remains unchanged, think of the communities already growing, fewer will be born ''Greek'', even if as a majority people have chosen to speak Greek, do we really want to have a Federal Government unprepared to represent its Citizens as Cypriots, because it remains the representative of "Greeks"? better isn't it if as Greeks, Greek Cypriots could sustain their way of life, better still if as Cypriots we can demonstrate this capacity as a People, diverse.

Canada is Bicommunal, and Bizonal, and a Federation.

...but as I've said, from my "mixed" village, to Canada; what do I know, as a Cypriot I know what Freedom can mean.

During the event, the escutcheon of the Republic of Cyprus above the entrance to the Presidential Palace was unveiled. The escutcheon was created by sculptor Yiannis Yianni. - See more at: http://www.parikiaki.com/2014/07/a-visi ... C44sU.dpuf

...not much else that was good news, the same (boring) tributes, to Greece, and a few (meaningless) words, nothing that challenges the mind in that it is new thinking, for Cyprus, and Cypriots, just the dream, where the Turkish Army withdraws entirely, and the displaced return, home.

...frankly I wish this President had the nerve to challenge Eroglu just once, to stand, in front of a Cypriot Flag, for the cameras, while he speaks; that would be a Confidence Building Measure, where in return, an idea based on the equality of Constituencies can be considered by the population, not "Turk", so to speak. frankly, if I was President, I would be glad to find someone who is a better representative of the Greek Constituency to be the match, Mr. Eroglu seeks. as the President, this would free me to do that duty most important to me, and that is to better the Freedom that Cypriots have to defend, and to enjoy, without distinction, without discrimination, but because they are Citizens; I would evaluate based on Universal Principals, I would not be seen to oppose one, or to be the supporter of another, I would offer assistance to both if they needed it, because it is the welfare of Cypriots, as Cypriots, and Cyprus, I care about, first.
