Yes, the person being "arrested" is a journalist.

He is the editor of IMC Television, Mr Gökhan Biçici, and he was covering the protests.

He was beaten up and had his gear seized.

... and although injured from the assault he remained in hand-cuffs for 4 hours and was denied medical treatment.

He is still under detention.
