Well sometimes when I hear a nice Honda Civic Type R passing by makes my hard bit harder, but then afterwards I recall the sound of Eleonor from Gone in 60 seconds and .... I just have a heart attack!!! Too bad I cannot afford such a big engine... A friend of mine brought his Mercedes CLK 320 V6 from UK.... He had bought it for about 50,000USD and the tax he had to pay in CY was about 60,000USD... imagine if it was a 5.0L one... :(

Have you seen the original Gone in 60 seconds? They came out with a re-release on DVD. It is as good if not better than the new one. I think it had the longest car chase filmed ever. And Eleanor was just as good looking back then.
I almost bought an Eleanor but she was not kept well so I backed out. Even rusty she DID sound awesome.

I guess I am NOT bringing my baby to Cyprus. Too much tax

Leo, a couple of years ago when I was about to replace my car, I was thinking of getting a a nice 3.0 V6 from UK, either an Alfa Romeo 166 or a nice big Citroen??? Reason, too cheap after 3 years from new, not common here, have class as well, in my mind classified as value for money. I found very good ones for 6 - 10,000USD, but the tax was .... as above, so I just bought a normal new car with a smaller engine, and then try to locate a nice V6 or V8 classic car locally restored to use it as a weekend car. Please BRING your car here!!! :)

Mikros, why do you like Citroen so much? They don't seem to be very popular in Cyprus.

I have some car maniac friends but they seem to prefer BMWs

I wish I could bring it Mikre.
She is too loud for Cyprus with the modified exhaust
Plus I would need my own gasoline tanker to follow me at 12 miles to the gallon. I guess I could get more miles out of it but you know. With a manual transmition you GOT to take off fast LOL

Nah, you just have to follow the speed limits, petrol (or gasoline as the US people call it...) costs close to 1 USD per litre (not US galon...)....

LOL Stuff. I thought we where talking english :) MEN and Their toys English

Mikre. 4 dollars per US gallon hmmmm
We pay 2.30 per.

It is VERY hard to follow speed limits here, will be worse overthere. I find myself cruising over 100 mph and I don't realise it. I got the speeding tickets to prove it LOL
