Turkish Sides Banned from Europe

Postby Demonax » Tue Jun 25, 2013 8:45 pm

Two cheating Turkish teams have been banned from European competitions for match fixing:

Euro bans for Fenerbahce, Besiktas

Turkish club Fenerbahce have been banned from European soccer for two seasons for their involvement in a domestic match-fixing scandal, Uefa said on Tuesday.

In a statement, the European governing body said another Turkish club Besiktas had been banned for one season. Both bans were linked to a scandal which rocked Turkish football in 2011.

Get your facts right. Two Greek teams are not allowed to compete in the Europa League next season due to not being able to meet financial criteria. A decision they are appealing to the CAS.

Turkish teams, however, have been banned for cheating and match-fixing.

I hope that 'stpier' is a reincarnation of one of our usual 'friends', otherwise there will be even more of them to share the brain cell!

Typical of a Turk to try and insist that everyone is as corrupt and rotten as they are.

The two Greek clubs are in debt and did not meet UEFA’s financial criteria to compete in the Europa League. Having financial problems is not the same as bribery and match fixing - which is what the Turkish clubs have been found guilty of.

Is that what he was trying to prove? I thought he was simply demonstrating what a moron he is.

Why are we even bothering discussing this topic. Professional Football is the new opiate of the masses designed to suck money out of people's pockets by inducing them to spend lots of money on pay to view matches, either at home on TV or through ticket prices, or on cheap to produce but costly to buy kit, and as for that bunch of panty wasters called football players.....
