Ayse go home. 'Turks piss off out of Cyprus'

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I think the day that the TCs and the GCs finally realise that their island is no longer their own 'Cyprus' and they actually stand together and unite to get rid of Turkey from the north the better. Also to stop the influx of 'Carpetbaggers' and other such sorts (apart from me  ) getting in and retiring there. I think for these people there needs to be a stricter code, and at the moment in the north for example its all too easy to set up 'shop' as it were, the south is not much better either.

Cyprus hasn't always had a rift between its people(sure there has been many ups and downs). The normal people 'have' lived quite happily with each other for much longer than the 40 years they fight over. Lets be clear, it wasn't the majority that began this. It was a small few that got the ball rolling and the momentum turned it into a full blown war and divide. Small people, or should that be small minded always sow the seeds to a countries undoing. They 'can' live together once more. I'm certain of that, if they can get rid of the small minded arseholes that undermine the effort to do so.

Its about time it stopped.

I'm very much appauled by the fact that Mosques are turning into a plague in the north, whilst churches that have stood for thousands of years have been destroyed, converted, looted and totally disrespected are left to rot as sheep pens or military stores. On the south side mosques are treat with respect and restored to their rightful followers. I am a bit dubious of the future 'religion' of the island. I'm not particularly religious, but its quite soul destroying to see the heritage, culture and history of the island in the north being forcibly changed by disrespectful acts of heresy.

I was recently reading an excerpt from the Cyprus Gazette archives, entitled the 'The Irrigation and Water Law 1887'. ( I was on the hunt for family information) Both GC and TC were minorities in documented villages(around Morphou) where the other was a majority. Who cares who is a minority as long as the majority is Cypriot? IF the correct inhabitants of Cyprus do not get their act together they will be ALL a minority in their land.

I don't want to see this.

So, to wrap up and complete my ramblings...... Turks bugger off, and take all the other pillocks with you. There will then be more room for those that belong there to return home

It's funny how desperate the Greek Cypriots are in defending this aged-old pointless statement, which may I add is now the laugh of the century when the leaders of the UN meet at the negotiating table when discussing the Cyprus problem. I think this statement should now read,

"WHY DID THE GC-ROC ENTER THE EU AS WE ARE NOW BECOMING A MINORITY IN OUR OWN STATE!".

The basis for the Cyprus negotiations have completely changed and in this world "Cosmopolitan" societies and mixed states, the Greek Cypriots should actually expect more Turks coming to the island as opposed to anyone leaving.

....didn't the University of Cyprus recently open a "Turkish Studies" department for the purpose of........!

Yes, Cyprus is now an EU member. And Turkey isn’t.

And Cyprus has discovered natural gas and oil.

And Cyprus is in a strategic alliance with Israel, the EU and the US.

While Turkey is in a strategic alliance with itself.

Complete swaying off the original Subject. On that note, I would then say, let's see how much revenue the Cyprus Government is left with after these so called "Strategic" alliances are matured and completed....I'm guessing you will be as rich as "Scotland". Judging by the corruption in your government's last financial dealings in the past, the everyday Greek Cypriot on the street will still probably be penniless and starving!

The Republic’s economy has proved remarkably resilient. And the standard of living is still higher than Turkeys. So don’t worry about the RoC. It’s been through much worse. It's in a better position to recover long term with the natural gas. We'll make sure we ‘invest' the TCs share of the gas wisely.

Nobody wants that Turkish foreign trash, not even the T Cypriots.

Elcil went on and said the following: “They keep Varosha closed, they transfer population in the island usurping our political rights, and they are looting the Greek Cypriot properties. They changed the names of the places by force, they have created a puppet regime which is connected to them, and police is bind to them. The [Turkish] ambassador is interfering in any of our jobs, the Turkish Cypriot community is subject to culture assimilation due to the Quran lessons the mosques and the complex of buildings adjacent to mosques”, Elcil said and noted: It seems Bagis who says that wants solution conveniently forgets all these. - See more at: http://www.parikiaki.com/2013/12/elcil- ... 0OvrD.dpuf

These people take Turkeys money and then complain, the day they say no thanks to the funds is the day they can tell Turkey to leave.

They have told Turkey to bugger off and taken their money as well! It's an old Turkish trick they've learnt!

...as it is, Erdogan will go too far, then it will amount to Flags. he may be the catalyst of a Cypriot identity, because it will not be "Turks", or "Greeks" who will form to resist his efforts. they may rally under their own flags as constituents, but it is the Cypriot flag they will fly under, and the flag their aim to fly higher.
