Well, I suppose, valid RoC or other EU country car registration, road tax paid to the RoC for 2013, valid insurance with a company operating legitimately in Cyprus or the EU and a valid driver's licence issued by the R.O.C. or another EU country. Quite simple isn’t it?

1. Driver’s license
2. Road Tax
3. MOT pass for cars older than 4-5 years.
4. 3rd party Insurance

Should be alright if your name is on the legit “other drivers” list at the bottom of the insurance policy.

As long as her insurance covers you yes. You do not need to be the owner of a car to drive it.

OK thanks, it maybe safer if they take a taxi less risk of coming up against problems.

Why don't you pay a visit to the authority or even call them, show your wife's documents or tll them what you have and ask them if they are OK?

Thank you thats an option for sure, but we keep hearing that the police at the crossing cause lots of problems for the sake of not allowing people to cross.
