Both of you can open another thread to discuss this!

Someone should have written his autobiography or memoirs because Glavkos Clerides would no doubt be taking a lot of information with him to his grave.

No one would have known the behind the scenes developments better than Glavkos Clerides. His story is an epic one.

I would have bought it, because I am sure the guy was an encyclopedia of knowledge with respect to the Cyprus Problem and Cyprus in general.

Imagine all the meetings and discussions this guy had with world leaders. He was a bit of a mover and shaker that's for sure.

I will tell you the problem this psychopath has with Clerides.
Clerides was Pro American and not pro Al Qaeda as this idiot is.

In a nutshell, Clerides was yet another partaker to double enosis. He did an exemplary job serving the “guarantors” at Cyprus’ expense.

The only leader that ever satisfied me of being a Cypriot patriot working for the interests of Cyprus was Tasos Papadopoulos.

The rest were for gavlies tsie ftimmathkies!

That's news to me old sport.

You appear so confident. Can you please provide reputable evidence that Clerides wanted Double Enosis?

He does not appear to be the type to sell out.

With someone like you (and a few others in here) I would have to explain what “double enosis” means and how it is implemented as an introduction before I get into Clerides... and that is too taxing for me and I'm just so bored... :?

Don't worry about the definition. I will chance it!

Let's just go into the detail where he agreed on Double Enosis. There must be some formal reference where this is noted.

Paphitis, take no notice of this sick individual, well on record as consumed with hatred for America.

He does not like Clerides for the same reason he does not like me, we both are ( WAS) Pro America..

Lets take me as an example. I have been on this forum for over 7 years. Apart from the sicko and a couple of other Plonkers, I believe I'm well liked, willing to put it to the test!!

He is obnoxious, delusional and full of skata. The Greek language has some 270 thousand words or so, he knows perhaps 1000, as for English, well it is after all his ...father tongue, so he gets by by calling every one " uneducated".

Next time I'm in Cyprus I would love to meet him face to face and call him a ...PLONKER!

He was a very mature Statesman, always as calm and collected and very shrewd. A realist, who mixed it on the international stage.

He served the UK's RAF against the NAZIs, but for Cyprus he served EOKA against the UK. And shortly after, as a Western and very Enlightened politician of considerable stature (statesman), he had good relations with UK, US and many Eastern and Arabic Nations as well, serving RoC interests during every step and trying to achieve the best outcome possible.

It is sad that this man did not live to see his dream, which was the re-unification of the island.
