I didn't see any brutality in the video.
Nor any intent to cause bodily harm.

Please post the video, so people can make up their own minds.

I saw the video, it didn't look like anything deliberate, unlike the shit being dished out in Turkey.
One immigrant gets hurt we are the bad guys, 10,000 gcs get brutally murdered it all fine and dandy.
Tell us how many people get hurt at the hands of the police anywhere and deliberate? So my response to people that post this shit is, go f yourselves.

In other countries, a Rapid Response Unit would have dragged him into the vehicle rather than let him make a stupid scene like that.

In any other civilised country you would never have officers from a rapid response unit wandering around the streets, stopping those who do not look like locals, on spec under the suspicion they might possibly be illegal immigrants.

In "civilized" countries they have a lot of black people whom they imported as slaves. And even though now those people are citizens of the country they fall victims of police racism on a daily basis... here is a "nice" one: Police shoot, kill unarmed black man seeking assistance after ‘serious’ car accident

You are missing the point. Do SWAT teams in the USA or rapid response armed units in the UK, also stroll around stopping people who look like they might be 'foreign' to check their immigration status on the off chance they are illegal immigrants ? No they do not.

Any Cypriot worth their salt should be embarrassed and ashamed that members of such an allegedly 'elite' squad of officers is involved in such mundane activities in the first place, even ignoring the fact that an entirely innocent person ended up with a broken leg and just happened to also be black as a result of their actions.

As for this implied idea that we, as Cypriots, should not be concerned at these events because much worse things happen else where, that is just childish puerile nonsense. In my humble opinion of course.

So you problem is what police unit was doing the job? I don't agree with you that this has any importance. If they had nothing else to do then they might as well do regular police work than sitting scratching their balls! I watched the video but it is not from the beginning of the scene. So we don't know how exactly it started. I think the police has every right to stop people who look like they might be illegal immigrants and politely ask them for their papers. So the real question is if the policemen were rude and provocative ... or if the black guy got overly pissed and reacted in a way that made the police handle him roughly ... I don't think they broke his leg intentionally.

What is childish is trying to put Cyprus down by comparing it with supposedly "civilized" countries and then clutching at straws when you are shown to be wrong ;)
