A Most Curious Seismic Survey

Postby bill cobbett » Sat Nov 30, 2013 4:28 am

The Turkish survey ship Barbaros HP and its guard ships been violating CY waters for some days in a claimed seismic survey.

It's a most curious survey that has involved going repeatedly up and down the southern side of the Karpas Peninsular.

Always kept within sight of shore, sometimes coming within 2 nm of the coast and rarely going outside 5 nm from shore.

It looks as though it is concentrating on a water depth of just under 100m.

The jack-up rig Jupiter is sitting near a port in Turkey and we know it has a maximum operational water depth of 92m.

Anyone else beginning to get a sniff of a provocative propaganda drilling scam coming... ???

Here's a screenshot of its track over the past few hours...

( It's now going around in a circle in Famagusta Bay... )

Turkey may feel its beginning to lose its grip on the "topouzi" Turk Cyps and this is a way of getting them back in line with false promises of water(from Turkey)and false hopes for Hydrocarbons in less then 100 feet of water..

Think you may be right file.

For contrast, here's the track over the past few hours of the Princess carrying out a real survey in 1500+ metes of water...

... and here again is the Barbaros, going around in circles, close to shore, in Famagusta Bay.

All very curious.

(They must have picked up a Sardine Shoal on the Fish-Finder)...

It's moved in to deeper water, currently 20nm south-east of the tip of the Karpas.

Well when they find the plughole, maybe they'll disappear down it.

While they are, maybe they can take all that escaped oil they failed to help clean up!
