So quick, you are, to shun the "G" word that all you do is offer ammunition to the Turks and CM writers.

Declare you are a Turk and all will be well at 'CM world'.

HDY "g"IG...!!! You scurrilously say BillC is a Charloui and you defame him further by implying him a "Turk" and quisling for the mouthpiece of the former and the present Occupying Powers, the CM.

You'll be hearing from BillC's solicitors, who are Ogilvy, Farquhar, Wiggins and Papadotheodosioupanayi & Co ... :P

I have heard of Papadotheodosioupanayi! You obviously bringing out the big guns. :P

Ah... Never met that one, Miss Farquhar deals with BillC's affairs, she stands for no nonsense but is very discrete with it ...

Anyway, back to this serious thread.

I always thought journalists are accountable for the material they right.

If they write absolute garbage, why can't the reader hold the journalist accountable and take him to task. Why are such posts deleted?

I honestly feel there is a lot more to this than the CM will let on, only because I too have been a victim of this unjust censorship. Why was I a victim? Because I disagreed with the author, and took him to task over his erroneous anti RoC pro Annan thesis.

There was nothing offensive or personal about those comments but there were many Turks who were being offensive towards us but they got off Scott free.

Twitter has started to remove fake accounts allegedly created in Turkey with “manipulative” political motives in recent months, daily Hürriyet has learned.

Following a brief review of complaints in the past two weeks, the social media platform has decided to delete the “bot” accounts regardless of their political affiliation.

The Cyprus mail should follow suit. The comments section of their online paper is crawling with "bots" that have "manipulative" political motives from "Turkey".

I know this thread is specifically about the Cyprus Mail and I don't want to detract from its seriousness on that score; but reading some of the comments on Cyprus Mail is like reading some of the posts on CL. It's very likely the same lot of anti-Cypriot Brits that post racist bile against builders/lawyers/politicians/people, simply because they are Cypriot, whilst all the while they promote hotels/restaurants and suchlike in the occupied north (which, I've noticed, even their admin has called the TRNC, without quotation marks). [However, there are also a few good, fair-minded Brits on there.]

Seems to me, CM and CL go hand in hand with the same pro-Turkish, Brit-based agenda.

I don't believe Brits are racist against Cypriot builders, lawyers, politicians and especially the people.

They can be critical of Cypriot Builders, Lawyers, and Politicians and I don't blame them at all because there are far too many bad eggs. Like playing Russian Roulette with 3 bullets in a 6 chamber barrel instead of only one in the UK! Sorry, but I am just being honest!

However, some of the comments on CM are disgusting probably because there are some carpetbagger trash commenting on it and a few Turks and then add the pro Annan spin from the tabloid rag. They seem to be intolerant to anti Annan Plan views or opinions against their own agenda and at the end of the day, that is a poor reflection on themselves.

Forget the Cyprus Mail.
It's been proven to be biased, unprofessional and sometimes just plain ridiculous.

Is there any other better, and more professional English language online newspaper?
Any suggestions?

Agreed.
It's the bitter truth.
Unorthodox and raw, the CF will eventually lead to you to truth.
It's human nature to shy away from the bitter truth.
CF unlike CM allows you to challenge the status quo without restrictions.
