The moral of the story is that the Banker can help the poor fisherman to be a winner in life and bonk lots of women and pay for their tit inplants!

I see Paphitis didn't understand the moral of the story. Little man all he thinks about is money. :x

the only thing money does, is make you more of what you already were….ie if you are a druggie you become more of a druggie, if you are addicted to gambling or whatever you are more so with more money…if you are a philanthropist you become more of one……if you are broke before you get lots of money you become more broke after….etc etc….do you get the point Archimides/Yiallousa???

The name of the star of this thread is Yianni Dysi (West) who by now has a global fleet and has expanded into fish farming.

He has penetrated the Tuna Markets of Japan, North America and Australia. A Yellowfin is fetching 10,000 at the Tokyo Fish Market and the coin just keeps rolling in.

But, due to adhering to the advice of the Bank Manager who has now been employed as Yianni's Chief Financial Officer, Yianni has now employed about 5000 people in Greece, 2700 people in Cyprus and another 15000 people in Asia, North America and the Asia Pacific region. The economic activity he has generated in Greece and Cyprus has been a God send.

On Christmas, he had a very special Christmas Party for his staff at Athens Head Office. Amongst the special guests were PM Samaras and President Anastasiades. Some GD people attempted to gate crash but since those present were the who is who of high society, his security detected the uninvited and escorted them to the back alley where words were exchanged before they were tossed in the overfilled trash cans containing stinking Fish Offal waste from the party.

Despite the rude disruption, the party went on. Samaras awarded Yiannis with the key to Athens. But the show was stolen by Marika, a Greek American New Yorker who was his International Public Relations and Marketing Manager who was just flown in by the Corporations Private Gulfstream IV Jet to make an all important presentation of the Company's Achievements and Milestones. The invited guests were absolutely awe struck and then there were live crosses to staff members in the Americas, Asia and Australia. It was then time for the James Wessler, who was a Market Annalyst for CommerzBank and Wall Street high flyer to present the year that was and discuss the financial position of the business and how the next expansion will be funded. He talked about the impending IPO launch on the NASDEQ, All Ords, FTSE, London Stock Exchange, Athens Stock Exchange and last but not least, the Cyprus Stock Exchange. There was a thundrous applause when James announced that all employees will receive a 10,000 Euro Christmas Bonus as a thank you from the boss to his staff for a great year.
After all the official speeches, it was time for Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones to entertain the crowd. After 2 songs, Yiannis grabs his guitar and gets on stage and begins playing his guitar right next to Mick Jagger and all guests could not contain the high emotion of what was unfolding.

The party rocked on all night.

Stay tuned for the next installment ...

My interest in the whole saga was in the Australian Town of Port Lincoln.

Australian Olympic Weight Lifting Champion Dean Lukin had a thriving Tuna Business which employed many locals but a few months ago, the business was almost bankrupt. James Wessler, saw an opportunity for a hostile take over so there were many board meetings laying down the foundation.

The hero of this little story was unaware, until he made an unscheduled visit to New York and surprise his Board of Directors. He walks into the Executive Rooms on 5th Avenue. The Board look around and stand up with a sense of surprise. Also seated at the table was Marika, and Yiannis walks over and kisses his protege on both cheeks and acknowledges the rest before taking his seat at the head of the table.

James Wessler then informs Yiannis that a teleconference is underway with Dean Lukin, CEO of Port Lincoln Tuna Fisheries. The business had 12 trawlers, and 5 Tuna Farms and employed 1200 people. Unfortunately, the business had 57 million in liabilities and James was moving in for the kill. Yiannis just sat back listening until he got to the point where he had heard enough and quickly slammed his clenched fist on the table. "ENOUGH" he said.

"We do not do takeovers like this in my business"! This man is making an honest living as a Fisherman and employs 1200 people. Give him the 57 million for a 49% silent ownership of the business and let Mr Dean Lukin run his business as CEO. Give him every assistance to streamline his business".

He stands up from the board table and once again walks over to Marika to give her 2 pecks on cheeks and a gentle embrace before departing! He turns to the video screen and acknowledges Dean Lukin and departs for the nearest bar.

More to follow! :D
