Napa tourism grows in 2005

Postby Sotos » Tue Jan 10, 2006 2:20 pm

Thought this was relevant:
TOURISM in Ayia Napa showed an increase of 10 per cent during the year 2005 compared to the year 2004, said Mayor Barbara Pericleous yesterday.

She added that the full results of the year passed are now being examined by the Municipal Council. Most of the tourism came from England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and Israel.

The Ayia Napa Municipality tried their best to keep the town as clean and sanitary as possible so as to present higher standards and better services and the Municipality was well helped by the employment of workers during the holiday rush season which helped them keep the town and beaches clean longer without increasing their costs.

The Ayia Napa Municipality also hired 35 trained lifeguards to watch the beaches as safety was also an important issue during the season while the income from the Municipality owned beach beds came up to a total of £1 million and the beaches were in full operation without any problems.

So wots the crack with Napa now then? Is it the Pitz or Ritz?

I see there are loads of old appartments for sale real cheap. But when Napa is mentioned my interest is then zilch. I went there about three and half years ago and it thought it was quieter than in the late 90's.

Cyprus doesn't want Chavs no-one does. But they do have money to spend, which you can't deny is good for the country and all that.

Definately more Pitz than Ritz :(

Nice village once, give it a few more years and a deserted decaying Aya Napa can be marketed as the dead Chav town to rival Famagusta and Pompei

Maybe the Chav's could just send the money in unmarked envelopes to the municipality charity fund and stay away :

If Cyprus wants more "High Class" tourists then they need to sort out, first of all the town aesthetically (hope I spelt that right). They need to renovate ols buildings, in keeping with the Cypriot arcitecture, and they need to sort out the apartment blocks they have, just a lick of paint would do it, every few years!! Instead of building these new developements, they need to concentrate on what they already have.....

You can't really compare Cyprus to Itally, I mean there's actually nowhere that you can compare with Itally...It's just too nice damn it!! Lol!:)

Chavs/Chavellers suck big time! No one wants them..The do not have "wallets full of cash" ..There stingy cheap bastards who are so unbelieveably tight with there money its depressing to see..The only time they start spending is when they get drunk and want to show off..And thats when the chav shit starts..all the shouting and running around chasing chav girls in mini skirts that show there ass...They make Cyprus/greece look cheap and horrible..What sortof Upperclass tourists would want to share there time next to chavs puking everywhere and screaming football songs while walking down the streets half naked?! admit it..Its scummy..and embarrasing..It makes everyone feel cheap!

Also Greece and there inflated prices are crazy!! Who on earth do they think they are...? Paris?! nooo..They need to learn that greece is not paris and does not deserve to double even triple the prices on everything..There asking themselves everyday.."Why dont we have as many tourist as we useto..Why aren't we making as much as money anymore?"...Well let me enlighten you...Because you fucktards treat the tourists like shit..Hounding on them to buy things and charging them CRAZY prices..Helloooooo..Your PUSHING them away...The tourists/chavs..are learning that it aint so cheap anymore..and the Greedy Greeks are Taking ADVANTAGE!

Its so effing obvious!

Nah, Blackpool is for young piss heads on the lash not Napa.

I blame the Cypriots for letting there small village develop this way. If they weren't greedy from the start, it wouldn't have turned out like this.
