its a botched up piece of colonial paper that Makarios was forced to sign. There is no point referring to its contents, which contain the seeds of the problem, in order to further your argument.

Its false.

But ıts a recognized agreement which you have been trying for erase and which the international community recognizes, so get over it.

it failed and it will keep failing for another 40 years. Lets not get into recognition, everyone knows where your community stands on that.

People need a fair and just way out of the quagmire VP.

No what he is say 1 thieving TC is not equal to 5 GCs.

Pure and simple, sharing is not the problem, it is the amount of share that you demand that is.

Now lets see........mmmmm...600,000 GCs have the same power as 100,000,000 germans....what is that ratio again????

But they don't and if GC's tried to impose themselves as if they did, they will probably get annihilated from the backlash.

Think you have the veto in the EU

THEORETICALLY -AND ONLY ON A LIMITED NUMBER OF ISSUES!!
In practice we cannot exercise it in cases the majority in the EU disagrees. Because if we dare, we know the consequences.
Remember Turkey's refusal to apply the Ankara protocol, while at the same time she got a date for starting accession talks- just because the majority in the EU wanted so?
In a nutshell, we know we are not equal in the EU despite our "veto".
Maybe you want the same thing to feel "equal"?

According to Politis today...

Pres A has threatened to walk out of the talks if Turkey persists in provocations in the CY EEZ.

The Pres has also clarified his position on the matter of Guarantees... they're won't be any, with CY accession to NATO's Partnership for Peace taking their place.

The Pres also reminds all that according to the Joint Declaration the supreme law in any new state of affairs is the Federal Constitution.

Something called the ‘Ankara Turkish Cypriot Association’ has given us their views which I provide here for a laugh:

"Ankara Turkish Cypriot Association": The joint statement of the two sides in Cyprus includes dangers

Turkish Cypriot daily Vatan newspaper (14.03.14) reports that the "Ankara Turkish Cypriot Association" issued a statement claiming that the joint statement of the two sides in Cyprus includes dangers as regards the Turkish positions, the "TRNC", the Turkish Cypriot "people" and Turkey.

According to the statement, the declaration which "serves the Greek Cypriot positions" will open the way for "TRNC" to become a province and the Turkish Cypriot "people" will become a minority.
