Because of their cliental relation with their parties. For example, many belong to unions like SEK, PEO, etc... and for other similar reasons.

Wink? What are you talking about?

The truth...

Are you saying that Cypriots are more interested in their rusfeti than their country?

Where did this Ottoman mentality among Greeks come into play?

Don't worry, we will correct it.

Once your bastardized like this, then there is no correcting it unless the Troika and Germany take complete control.

You're on the list! :D

Obama: Cyprus is a ‘valued friend and a partner’

President Barack Obama has reiterated the US’ strong support for efforts to bring about a settlement in Cyprus, describing the Republic as a “valued friend and a partner” of Washington.

“I also reiterate my strong support for efforts to achieve a comprehensive settlement to reunify the island as a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation,” Obama wrote in a congratulatory message to President Nicos Anastasiades on the occasion of Cyprus’ independence on Wednesday. “Resolving the long-standing division of the island would be the catalyst for increased prosperity and a brighter future for all Cypriots,” said Obama in his message.

Noting that “the Republic of Cyprus was a valued friend and partner of the United States,” The US President added: “Our continued cooperation is critical to promote regional security and prosperity.”

Obama also thanked Anastasiades for hosting Vice President Joe Biden’s “historic visit to the island in May, which demonstrated the United States’ commitments to strengthening our bilateral ties cooperation on areas of mutual interest, including countering terrorism and encouraging increased economic ties.” (CNA)

thats funny cause erdogan is on the record saying that if united states asked terkey to pull out of cyprus he would have to. now one must ask the question why does obama not ask terkey to pull her troops and settlers out of cyprus instead of acting like a scizo telling you gcs how much he loves you while encouraging terkey to remain in cyprus. some people are fools but to be like that for 50 years is special. very special.

...in any case, i wish you had a link, because it is quite a stretch to believe what you say, although you pose an interesting question, with the Tolerance the world demonstrates toward the "except one" country, it is not polite to call "us" (read: not "Turkish") fools.
