I shouldn't say it. But they only let you import 50 cigarettes per person so you can't even bring in a carton. It doesn't matter from which country whether it is the EU, US, and Asian country or Africa. They give you a choice of confiscation or to pay the import duties and taxes. In the end you pay the same amount as if buying in Australia. If you didn't declare them, they may even fine you about $300 AUD on top.
