Right about what ? That Netgear had a legal obligation to provide you with free phone based technical support on a three year old 100usd router ?

In terms of warranty you do not quote this part

The guarantees apply for the amount of time that it is reasonable to expect given the cost and quality of the item or any representations made about the item,” Mr Sims said.

Are you challenged or what erol?..we established that the unit is out of warranty so this does not apply in my case...

But this does... directly...

To avoid any doubt, Apple has also acknowledged that the Australian Consumer Law may provide for remedies beyond 24 months for a number of its products.

I made it bigger in case you haven't got your coke bottles on you...fucking hell... you are arguing?... how thick are you?

How about that little disputed land erol?...well have you gotten off your lazy ass and checked with the ROC land registry yet?... let us know the meaning of disputed land when you find out... and on a public forum you come and rub it in peoples face with "disputed land"... with not so much of a conscious and you say I brag what I did with $122 item?... what a moron... you are a gem...

We read your story and you don't deserve jackshit.

That you may have caused a scene to the point where you're getting a new device is quite possible but does that make you right? Absolutely not!

apparently searching websites is not the thing to do...

Right, so all those using support forums etc should stop and start causing a scene instead!

especially when you have no internet...

Couldn’t you plug straight into the ADSL for Internet access? You don’t fucking need a stupid router!

and especially when the majority of the population would not have a clue on how to unbrick...

Then what the fuck were you doing in the router's admin menu? What business did you have going there?

God you fucking annoy me... the customer from hell that’s what you are!

Fist of all setting the record straight and second you are still throwing toys out your pram...

Anyway let's call it quits... and go past this as it's finished... but to be fair to you, you can have the last word...I will not reply to you or to erol...as my intention was to warn people not get pushed around by multi national companies that's all... as you have noticed, and as much I liked to keep in touch with my grass roots, my heavy load really prohibits me from doing so...I am just simply overloaded...

Goodnight and no hard feelings...

PS...I am really happy for you for what you have gained the last 4-5 years... don't know what but if you are happy then I am happy for you....

Knowingly or unknowingly you just took us for a free tour of a bad customer's mind!

Btw, unless you’re connecting dissimilar networks (ie: Apple Talk with TCP/IP) or linking to a WAN, you don’t need a router and it should slow you down. Get a smart switch instead.

We run a complex network mate...not that easy.... we have smart and dumb switches...We also host our own websites live in house...We do not host outside and also have redundancy systems to ensure when something goes wrong not everything is down... alas this lesson out of this is to hold extra spare units...Our IP address is static not dynamic and a lot of configuring... anyway...We are not really experts in doing networks because this is not what we do everyday.... just that particular router was routing emails and we depend on that for all our incoming orders... still to this day we do not know how many we lost...We run an EDI system and with customers, especially retail stores we get penalised if we do deliver on time per the contract...Harvey Norman with 210stores nation wide we have such contracts, others are more flexible...

They could have done more to fix our problem, 2 minutes actually considering we use their products exclusively...

Anyway I am working on a BOM and need to leave it at that... and then I need to splt it... just needed to explain to you as to why I was upset... goodnight
