Exactly. TCs demanding to restrict the rights of Cypriot citizens and to legalise the plunder of land and property, is a sure-fire way to guarantee instability, resentment and violence. It seems they want a 'guarantee' to protect them from the consequences of their own greed and larceny. This is political immaturity of the kind we have come to expect of the TCs.

You must have lost a lot of land because you tie everything into property issues, isnt security more important? A solution is being hammered out and will address your property rights which imo you should get back within the realms of the reality before us, if its empty you should get it back day 1, if people live in it they should pay rent and move if thats what you wish, if the land has been used you should offered compensation at todays prices or alternative similar property. Now move on. Your materialstic mindset makes you blind to what can be realitically achieved and what cannot.

We don't all want our properties, land and towns back for financial reasons. We want them back because they belong to us, our ancestors and future generations, and no-one has the right to steal it from us. The majority of land in the occupied areas legally belongs to Greek Cypriots so you have a lot of returning to do.

it is very easy. anybody who wishes to settle in the north should be able to but you will not be able to vote for the northern government. it really aint rocket science. you can harp on about democracy all you like you will have it in the south.

get it.

To not harm the bicommunal nature of of the federal got.but what about for local and state level govt.I can't live permanently in rizokarpaso and not be able to vote for a mayor.cross voting and weighted averages would take care of that.SO your saying your prepared to allow if they wish to have 90000 refugees return to their homes and properties in the north?

Security is also a big issue to the GC's VP, so that things like this do not keep happening or happen again.

This is why you will hear me or some GC's suggesting that the best thing for the TC's is to go back to Turkey. Not out of spite, but because I honestly believe that it is the best solution for anyone who cannot live in a democratic EU state, who also need Turkey's security guarantees to keep the Gc's property and oppress their culture, religion etc...

The TC's don't seem to mesh very well with the rest of Cypriot society. They seem out of place. It just makes sense for them to be in Turkey where they will have no problems, far away from the GC's (and vice versa) but friends.

security, don't make me laugh, do you think Ukranians feel very secure, if they are not Russian?

...the rest of us, those that are not Turkish, have very real reasons to fear, what with Turkey and its size so near, what with what she demonstrates as 'Peaceful Interventions', if you are not "Turkish" enough, never mind here, even in her own country.

you can play this ridiculous charade vp, calling others naive, but Cyprus is, we are, and it is just plain Ignorant to imagine that the violence that surrounds our little island in countries next door, does not appear here because of magic, or the UN, or the Turkish Army, because you would be giving the people, everyday ordinary people, too little credit, it is because of us. and you will be giving too much respect to the authorities, as it is what seems an elite, because it is their intransigence which has created the impasse by focusing on the Liberties they seek, rather than the Freedom that is everyone's responsibility to keep. in my mind you live for the little idiots like kurupecupkaike and his elamite gang, so that you can get yourself dressed-up too, to go out and play, with them.

...there is a Cyprus, and if you are old enough, think; who's flag should fly higher?

(on one side of the argument, there are "Greeks" and "Turks", and on the other there are Greeks and Turks; i think you can figure out which ones are Cypriot.)

...we can agree, the violent and hateful among us are Criminal: "this", must stop.

In a BBF comprehensive solution I totally agree, GC individuals should have their property rights returned and allowed to live where ever they wish. Does this suprise you? its nothing new if you bothered to listen I have always supported this.

You know htis is not possible so even suggesting it makes you look very idiotic in front of TCs. Like it or not we are joint owners of this island you cannot tell me to go live in a foreign country. I understand your fears and need for security and have no problems with your demands for guarantees if you wish but you dont seem to understand mine or pay any respect to my need for guarantees that you will act in accordance with any agreement you sign and not try to change it to take the advantage.
