Like the pereception of loss is skewed or unjustified? The Annan plan suspended the EU legal regime, so that non Cypriots could buy land and setle in the north but not GCs, in other cases they called this apartheid.

When Soysal, adviser to past and present TC leaders, says there must be planning , by the TCs for the TCs, for the event of a future split from the united federated state, how would you react? What do you think that would mean for the then stateless GCs reduced from the level of a nation to that of a mere community? Was Soysal being accomodating?

It is facile crap to talk about accomodating and "give and take" when one side has already taken far more than it is entitled to and wants even more. As in that idiotic proposal for a Joint GC TC corporation to manage TC properties in the south after reunification. So they would keep stolen GC properties in the north and would then join in the management of TC properties in the south. Unknowing people, like you Geoff, ASSUME that the properties issue will be settled mostly via exchanges. The "management" proposal proves that the TC negotiators have something else in mind and are deliberately letting you, and others ASSUME, that there will be an exchange. When foreigners hear that 12000 TCs cros to work in the south daily they ASSUME that GCs have the same "accomodation" in the north, and are surprised to hear things are not so.

Rejecting this makes the GCs less accomodating according to you, fine, this is not a popularity contest, we are not seeking anyone's approval to live in our country.

This is total crap, GCs do need a solution, nor do they want to share power, or being able to utilize the "RoC" without TCs, all they are doing is playing the we want the solution but the TCs and we promise to give you all your property back as it was in 1974 just to keep refugees in the dark...no solution is possible the gap is just to wide to bridge.

Actually I see the logic in the GC leader getting up and leaving . At least some one has realised all these meetings are a waste of time even though it probably benefited his objective. However the act of just getting up and leaving is disrespectfull and I believe he will pay for his actions in the future. It's been a very slow process in resolving the simplest problems between both sectors . Did we ever think we would be able to cross over and visit both sides. Some may disagree even with this border crossing and some appreciate the progress. The point here is when politicall leaders who represent their country's interest and the will of their people this clearly shows the will of the GCS . They don't want a solution . I TRUELY believe we should just close the borders off and not allow GCS into the north. They are TRUELY taking everything for granted . They really need a proper political kick up the arse . Eu has no le average to put pressure on turkey but they do to their beneficiary GCS so why don't they wise up and push them into a corner . What the fuck are they afraid of such a pointless member of the eu

Thanks b25 . You see we agree on one thing and that's where it ends . If I told you my other ideas what should be done in cyprus after we close the borders off then you would not be so agreeable .
