i am trying to understand how we got to this situation. i go back to 2003 and there was no isil isis or even alqaida in iraq. what on earth happened for them to materialise out of thin air. why was there no jihadi problem in iraq before 2003.

Although I do NOT believe in the mythology surrounding a creator, created by prehistoric man, I have respect for religions that preach love, forgiveness, peace and compassion.

Islam does not. It sentences to death those that for one reason or another decide that Islam is no longer for them and leave the faith. Apostates are considered worthy of death. Some religion of love and compassion.

Suicide bombers target men women and children indiscriminately and intentionally, no compassion there, they detonate themselves even in mosques killing and maiming innocent bystanders of their own false faith.

Give just one reason why should I or millions of others alter our views .

Islam has spread throughout impoverished and poorly educated people, total submission prohibiting any logical demand for answers. Were I to be in one of these impoverished nations my head would not now be on my shoulders but on a pole.
