After more than 4 years of exchanging SMS with my other third I have become accustomed to her own version of pigeon English and although difficult to start with I have now mustered the deciphering process, but this morning sms was rather strange to say the least.
" I faind yu renk " Where I responded, " staf yu maik " she replied.

Well I knew after reading it a couple of times what she meant.

You see over the years I have loved cooking, making a lot of accompaniments such as gravy , stuffing , apple sauce and Yorkshire pudding my self, not out of a packet, the difference being that of ...piped music and live music.

Stuffing birds has been a speciality of mine with vast experience stretching over 40 years.

I mix flower, bread crumbs,olive oil, salt and pepper, finely chopped bacon and sausage meat, crushed garlic, parsley, a sprig of thyme mixed well and made into balls rubbed in bacon, stick in the freezer for an hour or two and you have an excellent home made stuffing.

When in Belarus I always make fresh stuffing that everyone enjoys, as well as my own gravy.

Make some for me she asked before I left. Encouraged by a flick of an eyelash and a ....naughty smile I consented.

Sleeves rolled up and begun mixing all the ingredients, that was Tuesday night last.

On the morning before leaving for the airport I realized my ring was missing, searched frantically to no avail. This ring I found some years back in the street outside a clients restaurant. I took it to the owner, an Indian gentleman who on examining the ring told me its an Indian lucky ring, wear it he said it will bring you luck !!! In India he told me if a lucky ring is found the finder keeps it, its bad luck to give it away. Well I kept the ring that was always a touch too large for me but wore it on my middle finger.

This morning she removed a ball of stuffing from the freezer ready for her roast chicken, the ball was far too large for just her and her daughter so she cut a piece and put the rest back in the freezer.

My lost ring now belongs to her according to Indian traditional culture.

She may be lucky and find a ...young man and ditch this ...middle aged 68 year old

You are absolutely right too, she has a young caring, loving ...cook, washer upper, ironer, and a ....fantastic ...lover when awake !! COUPLED WITH THE FACT THAT HE IS FROM STROUMBI THE GREAT!! Alas after a few glasses I ..fall asleep, first though I make sure I remove my ...dentures
