Thank you, but is there one that someone has perhaps used in a property purchase and has been pleased with?

All I can say is be very careful because lawyers in Cyprus do not enjoy a good reputation.

British High Commission has a list of lawyers, you could try there. The one I use is a UK trained Cypriot who is a member of The Law Society.

Thank you very much, that's really helpful. I don't suppose you could private message me the details of the lawyer you use?

...(as another tact) you might look around the neighbourhood where you'll be living, for a lawyer who has an office, or lives there; i imagine they would know a great deal about the land, and would have experience locally, being near, someone who would be interested in making you a client.

Thank you everyone. The High Commission had a great list of lawyers and translators and I have now contacted one so that I have an independent lawyer ready and waiting once I find a property.
