The Bible was written over a period of around 2000 years by 40 different authors from three continents who wrote in three different languages!

Furthermore there are 929 chapters in the Old Testament and 260 chapters in the New Testament giving a total of 1,189 chapters!

Now, what’s the probability that a bunch of uneducated peasants were capable of collaborating to write a continuous complex story non stop that spanned that long?

I’d say the chances of such a feat in those days were ZERO without divine intervention, in fact you'd be hard pressed to achieve that with today’s technology!

That's what makes the bible so intriguing!

You obviously haven't even bothered to look properly, or you would have noticed that this contradiction is between Genesis 1 and 2, and the relevant passages come on pages 1 and 2 of the King James in my possession, out of a total of 256 pages, so we are hardly talking about texts that were written at different times or on different continents or in different languages.

Right, and if you believe that everything is God's will, then God created humans with free will, and clearly, through the exercise of free will, some people will chose to be atheists. Therefore God wishes there to be atheists.

Just because a little old uneducated lady may have concluded that some unpleasant event was “God’s will” doesn’t necessarily mean that she was correct or that she represents God, so don’t make a meal out of it.

Unpleasant events are not God's will? You are saying that things happen of their own accord in the universe, not because God wishes them to happen.

According to the bible there are no interferences during the period that God granted man to have dominion over the Earth and choose life.

The strange thing is that somebody recently told me that there exists a terrestrial and a celestial world, and God presumably belongs to the latter, so how can he have sons who fancy the physical women of the terrestrial world, and come down to the terrestrial world to marry these women?
