who trained them, armed them and released them in the world. who brought the wahabi islamists from saudi to the region. who financed them. who devastated the region trying to defeat russia in somebody elses country. will you remain delya vosgo all your life.

at one point president reagan mentioned that it was entirely possible to fight the ussr with short range nuclear missiles in europe. what was the reaction of the european leaders. did they say sure of course we can. you just carry on burying your head under the sand and all the problems will go away by themselves. when ever there is a problem you can always blame terggggy. you will do just fine.
either you are blind or deaf or both. here it is one more time.

you see she says it to this day. it was not a bad investment to bring all these wahabi islamists to the region. gavole.

Meanwhile, the bandits calling themselves Boko Haram have attacked the village of Gumsuri in northern Nigeria, killing 32 and taking away at least 185 hostages, including women and children.

i agree with all this reporting on who does what but it seems all one sided. nobody ever reports what the nigerian government and the army does to the civilian muslim population in that region.

I know that Nigeria is a pretty corrupt and dysfunctional place, but I was unaware that there was systematic discrimination against Muslims there. Perhaps you could step into the void and report one or two things that the Nigerian government and army are doing to Muslim civilians in the region.

PS - I think you will find that Gumsuri is a Muslim village, so in this case the terrorists calling themselves Boko Haram were attacking fellow Muslims, not the Nigerian state which you say oppresses Muslims.

It is just one person's opinion, but the author of the following article feels that people in the north of Nigeria are suffering increasing oppression at the hands of fanatical Muslims who are wielding ever greater power there:

Tim, I would ignore this village idiot who can not see that Islam is the curse of Nigeria and many other parts of the world where illiteracy rules supreme and the savages calling themselves islamists are committing the most barbaric and hideous crimes whilst screaming out that their false god is ....great !!

They would kill and behead anyone who does not share their sick and demonic ideology.
Long live the enlightened ones who have rejected these utter bullshit of religion.

Here is one report of what the nigerian army and their supporters do. if you are going to say something at least understand the real picture and then show it. if you just accuse one side in the conflict, you than become complicit in the actions of the other side. there are those who are educated and think they know it all. where i am from they are referred to as garacahil.

Lordo, who is "america"?

...again, i suggest that in your well meaning gesture to define a victim, nothing more than a simple bit of logic escapes you, "we" are not a mono clonal society, although "they" (and you) portray "us" (present company excluded of course) as such. the criminal element that you seem to portray as the defenders of these victims are Persons indeed; so what? in "our" world, each and every one of us must look deep into ourselves as Individuals, to make the choices that will define us, whatever Person we are. you may support one adversary against the other, yet there is another level of choice, that which supports Universal Principals, that which supports the idea that we have bigger enemies in our fight for survival, than each other, that we are all different, and that we are even with all these differences the same, that it is as Individuals we are judged, by a maker or by our peers. in any case DAESH, and the poor sod that is the actual topic in this thread, does no better, corrupted as they are, their "heroes" are no better at expressing a way of life the rest of us can share in lovingly, their only inspiration is to highlight how far we have yet to go.

@ milti, Islam, and Islamists have a noble cause, (as much as any "ism" can,) and as such it began with the promise of a better way of living. it may take another 100 years for a system of politics to evolve that offers a balance to Capitalism. indeed what is becoming clear is that Muslims suffer the worst from this evolution in their Faith, although i am not so quick to judge because, like Lordo, i recall things like the Spanish Inquisition, even Cromwell, where Religion is taken hostage by a few with their own intentions, they do not "win" in the end by the way. i will not condemn religions, and Islam like other world religions i've learned something from, offers a great deal of food for thought. i think the greatest compliment i got from someone was from a very pious person who said to me, V, you are not a good Christian, but you are a better Man than me. i like to think there is, a way. with or without religion, you have it, to be loving is Grace; plonkers we all are, i say. give Lordo his due, this respect, without him, or GR, where(who) else can you get an opposite if you will, to express yourself, and in so doing, find a better way to express yourself? i thank Lordo, and VP (where is he it's been a while), at least if they are not playing the devil's advocate, i like to think they are like poets always finding ways with words to play.

...so be merry, cheers everybody!

milti accuses islam. in reality it is the saudi wahabi islamists that have got their own agenda. how can anybody with half a decent mind be so judgemental on 1.5 billion people on actions of few tens of thousands. it just shows intolerance and closed mindedness.

thanks you rw for your kind words and bid you all a merry xmas bayram too.
