gapelluimu i dont think you realise what this is all about. the protest is not about being able to hang the cypriot flag. the protest is against it. they got upset cause gcs were allowed to stand next to the terggish flag in terggy at a sports event with their flag. their reasoning is if it is good enough for terggy it is good enough for them. the objective is protest against allowing it in terggy.

you see tcs are fighting fire with fire.

The CTP (hardly surprisingly) are supporting Akıncı, so it look it is all over bar the shouting.

I think their intentions are a little bit more broader than a bout of jealousy over a sports event in which Anatolia rightfully flew the RoC flag.

Are the anatolians hypocrites? Very
Have the Anatolians been screwing them since 1984? Absolutely.

I find that a bizarre claim, but Akıncı looks certain to win the second round, and this will put life back into the settlement negotiations.

Akinci/Eroglu/Ozersay or any TC do not do the talking here. FFS how many more times, Turkey will decide, her puppets are just that, even better described by Erdo himself as 'Parasites'.

On the other hand, of all the candidates, Akıncı is the one most likely to try to steer a course independent of Ankara. Also, it appears that Turkey is on the brink of a period of political turmoil, and may have less time to notice what is going on in Cyprus for a while.
I predict that Akıncı will win and fresh life will be blown into the peace process.

that is assuming that anastasiades is ready to talk. if christofias is anything to go by i suspect no matter what akinci says or does will not make any difference. i hope you are right but if anything the past teaches us to be on the side of caution.

how makarios in 72 did not agree to the 13 amendments is beyond belief. i get a feeling akinci can say, thats it we packing up and leaving cyprus and ansatasiades will say NO.
