here is a true fact. 94 years ago, when greece invaded anatolia 200 socialist greek soldiers refused to fire at their terggish brothers. they were shot for their trouble. they will be commemorated in izmir.

Btw, do you know how many “Greeks” today have a surname that ends with “…glou” such as “Oustoglou”?

I met a young lady in the past who had surname kahramoglu. i asked her if she knew what it meant. she told me she did not know the meaning of her surname.

for those who are interested it mean son of a brave.
