hello my namne is gondoix im from sweden i wonder how are the laws in cyprus concerning antique guns muzzleloader flintlock caplocks and wheelocks etch etc :
for example can i buy an flintlock pistol or musket in cyprus are they required u to register them or are the restricted ?

if i would move to cyprus for example from sweden could i take with me my antique weapons to cyprus:

if i did would they need registration ?

Cyprus is pretty strict. Only airguns and basic shotguns are allowed subject to acquiring a license from the Police.

Showcase guns have to have the barrel sealed and I think a portion of the firing mechanism removed or something like that.

Overall Cyprus is not a good country to be in for gun enthusiasts yet amazingly we have more battle rifles per capita than most countries in the world!

ok so u mean it has to be pluged :) well its easy to plug antique muzzleloaders without destroying the gun barrel and while u come home to ur home country u can remove the plug :)

Here's what the Police did when they recently sold a variety of guns to collectors...

"All weapons that will be sold will be disarmed in a way that they cannot under any circumstances be used. The bolts and firing pin have been removed, while the barrel has been glued with metal. "

these guns are modern :) they are not muzzleloaders but pinfire :) lets say muzzleloaders how is the law about those ?

for example an old duel pistol ;)

ok awesome so if im correct u can buy the muzzleloader or antique gun but u need to get an approval by the police and u need only an safe when u have 10 guns or more :)
