It's about time someone started a recipe thread .. We start with the all Greek recipe for avgolemono soup..!!

Make shure you clean the tsiken first

Yuck! Carrots? And, what about rice? Not noodles. :roll: Sounds like a Jewish chicken noodle soup to me.

I have to agree...no rice.......is wrong ....never had carrot in it.......made some this week.....

Don't they say nowadays that it's best not to clean the tsiken ...???

Yes, they tend to Jewify recipes in the US. I remember almost no "Greek" restaurant there had pork souvlaki. Only lamb and chicken. :?

What carrots and Celeries and frou frou k aromata???

Vlakies....enough rice to make your spoon stand up and 793 eggs with 598 lemons....like yiayia made it :D

As a ....Master chef my self, :lol: I agree, Lemons, eggs, chicken stock, Rice and if you prefe, just at the end add some hallumi small cubes and a....glass of red :lol: :lol: Delicious !

I agree. Wash, wash, wash! It's either full of germs or has been soaked in bleach solution. But Brits are generally poor at washing their hands properly, so the UK government has recommended not handling raw chicken and instead chuck it straight from the bag into the oven/pot. :P

Would have been wiser to remind people to wash their hands well, clean surfaces and not leave dishes unrinsed etc and that way, they could have killed two birds with one stone ...
