this makes very interesting read for anybody who can read the second language of the republic, regarding the cyprus problem and the root cause. particularly interesting are these paragraphs

<<<<

>>>>>

it begins with deceleration of roc and joining the un as a state. usa sends a congratulations message to the cypriot people.
the tcs said nothing to this message.
makarios objected to the message, the gcs sent thousands of telegrams to show their displeasure at the mention of the cypriot people. makarios claimed that it was not a new nation that was born but a new state. those who know me know well that i will not serve the cypriot people.

rip hoca, we have finally woken up but i cannot the same thing form my cypriot friends who speak greek only and deny all responsibility for the cyprus problem. was arif hoca wrong in what he said.

what no comment, not even from charlui de thicko.

magarios objected to the congratulatory message by the usa and particularly to the use of cypriot nation on the grounds that it does not exist. where are those who claimed magarios was not member of eoga after 1960. where are you assholes.

Makarios wanted democracy, as pointed out in his 13 amendments in order to change a racist constitution he was forced to sign before the barrel of foreign guns.

Before that, the VAST majority of Cypriots voted for enosis with Greece, which was denied by force.

Tell me how that, what you have posted, fits in with this?

sure and he should have been allowed to take his part of cyprus and do as he pleases. you notice people do not learn from past examples of problems. look at ukrane exactly the same problem. they wanted to join the eu but did not consider what the russian nationals in ukrane wanted at all. and guess what the same result. the country is now split for ever.

if you are stupid enough to ignore what the tcs wanted then you got what you deserve boy.

no, not really.

Just answer the question instead of deflecting, otherwise I will leave this thread to rot like everyone else.

My father worked with and for Greeks until he invented his little spray machine and sold it to them which set him up in life. He is now 85 and knows Greeks and Greek mentality better than anyone else that I know or has spoken to with regards to the Cyprob. He is certain that they will NEVER, EVER agree to an agreement that give us Turks any type of power sharing. Even if they were forced to such an agreement the day will come when each and every Turk will be eliminated and the island is purely left to the Greeks.

My old man speaks Greek fluently and spent all his young working years with Greeks, he knows them through and through and I have no reason to doubt him :(
